Liaison

Liaison in Malayalam is the merging of two or more words. It can occur when a word ending in a vowel is followed by a word beginning with a different vowel. If the ending vowel and the starting vowel are the same, liaison does not occur. To make Malayalam grammar easier to understand, all pages on this site assume that liaison always occurs when a word ending in a vowel is followed by a word beginning with a different vowel.
