MR modulesetups in scale H0 in Mälardalen for both 2-räil and 3-rail, connected in an interfacemodule for exciting common traffic ! Next meeting:  see the swedish page

remark: Home and Back ont the links above will return to a swedish parentalpage

A virtual club of modelrailroaders that are interrested to build modelrailroads as modules. The club wants to increase the interrest for modules and that more people shall build H0 modules according to the biggest common swedish standard called "Västeråsstandarden".

The name is inspired of the geographical area around the lake Maelaren. Most of the members comes from the capitol Stockholm, beautiful situated between Maelaren and the Baltic Sea. Cooperation about best-practise and recommendations in accordance with the original standard is done with other clubs close to Stockholm who also has interrest in building with modules like  e.g.  Uppsala ModellJärnvägsklubb UMJK och Modul-Syd and  SMJ  (but nothing (so far) with other that has had interrest in Vaesteraasmodules like Oestersund?, Borlaenge?, Gaevle?, Joenkoeping?)

The cornerstones in our philosofy is "build what YOU want", but accept ALL others different interrests on our meetings, just because "We just want to drive long trains on big layouts", i.e. " We just want to drive trains and have FUN".

The standard is called Mälarmodul-Norm (based on the Västeråsmodul ) (the far most spread in Sweden (we haven't had any Fremo here before)) and to this standard we have added some best practice recommendations about digital driving and control into an electrical buildingdescription MMM-DCC , a trafficregulation TR  and some other stuff that we tries to syncronize with the other clubs .
Today we set up the modules at the livemeeting for both a 2R AND a 3R part and tries to switch 2R waggons from one part to the other. There will maybe come some extension with recommendations on narrow-track (eg. H0n3, H0m, (H0e aso))

Disclaimer: This english page is only for a brief overview information of what MMM stands for and what we do. The rest is swedish only (as are our internal forum)
