PROF. PAULOSE COREPISCOPA PARATHUVAYALIL CELEBRATES "SAPTHATHI"
Senior Corepiscopa of the Malankara Jacobite Church and Retired Professor V.Rev.Paulose Parathuvayalil Corepiscopa is completing 70 years of age on the 25th January. He is member of the Jacobite Church Working Committee and the Vice Chairman of the Church Educational Committee and member of the Diocesan reorganistaion committee.
He was ordained as a Priest in 1957. He was elected to the Managing committee of the undivided Church in 1965. Since then he has been continuing as Managing Committee member of the Church. He served as the Ankamaly Diocesan Secretary for over a decade. He was also the founder secretary of “ANTIOCHEA VISWASA SAMRAKSHANA SAMITHY”. In 1985 he was ordained as Corepiscopa by HH IGNATIUS ZAKHAI I PATRICARCH at Damascus.
He served as Vicar of the Churches at Hyderabad, Parethumaugal, Kalamboor, Thuruthiply, Kadathy, Vazhappilly, Kunnukkurudy, Vengola, Mannoore, Veettoore, Nellimolum. At present he is Vicar of the St Thomas Church Mazhuvannoor. He also served as Chaplain of UC College.
He was Professor and Head of the dept of Political Science in St Peters’ college, Kolenchery. He also served as member of faculty in UC College Aluva, Catholicate College Pathanamthitta and CMS College Kottayam.
Corepiscopa’s wife is Mrs.Aleyamma of Kunjittikudy family, Perumbavoor.
“SAPTHATHI” meeting is arranged by His friends and family members to celebrate the SAPTHATHI on January 25th evening (6.30 pm) at the Keezhillam Parethumugal St Thomas Church Parish Hall. HB Baseliose Thoma I Catholicose, Their Graces Metropolitans Joseph Mor Gregoriose, Thomas Mor Themotheose, Mathews Mor Ivaneous, Kuriackose Mor Diyascorose, Yuhanon Mor Militius, PC Thomas MP, TH Musthaffa MLA, Saju Paul MLA, PP Thankachan [UDF Convenor], Social, Political and Church leaders will attend the function.
