Manjinikkara Pilgrimage begins
Piravom, Feb 9: Seventy fifth Manjinikkara pilgrimage started from Maneed, Mar Kurikose Church, near here on Friday. Metropolitans of Kandanadu diocese Mathew Mar Ivanios handed over the pilgrimage flag to Joy Joseph, 'theertha yathra' sub committee convenor, on the church premises.
Fr. Thomas Panachiyil, vicar of the church, led a procession from the church to Aanamundy shrine. Later, the procession was accorded a warm reception at the Piravom Valiya Palli. The procession will reach Manjinikkara on Monday evening.
