The Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Manjanikkara feast commenced with the flag hoisting on Sunday, 4th February 2007. The L.L. Patriarach of Antioch & All the East St. Ignatius Elias III, is entombed at the Manjanikkara Dayara 75 years ago, which is the only Patriarchal tomb, outside the Patriarchate.

H.G. Kuriakose Mor Julios, the abbot of Manjanikkara Dayara, hoisted the flag at Omalloor Kurishumthotti, witnessed by Asst. Metropolitan H.G. Geevarghis Mor Dionnasios, Anthrayos Ramban, Corepiscopos V. Rev. P. J. Joseph, V. Rev. E. K. Mathews, V. Rev. K. G. Yohannan and hundreds of faithful. The flag was brought to the Kurishumthotti, after offering prayers at the tomb of St. Ignatius Elias III.

The perunal celebrations will last until 13th of this month. On Sunday, Mathew Mor Theodosios metropolitan celebrated Holy Qurbana at the Dayara Cathedral and offered special prayers at the tomb, commencing the perunal celebrations. Thereafter Patriarchal flag was hoisted in the Dayara premises. All Jacobite Churches in India hoisted patriarchal flags on Sunday, after the Holy Qurbana. Manjanikkara Dayara Cathedral will have Holy Qurbana everyday at 7.30 am and evening prayers in the evening.

Bible convention will start on 9th Friday and the public reception to the pilgrims arriving from various parts of Kerala by walking will be on 12th afternoon. The Catholicos H.B. Baselius Thomas I will preside over the Platinum Jubilee celebrations on 12th evening.
