Manjanikkara Perunal - Flag Hoisting on February 4th Sunday
The 75th Dukhrono of St. Ignatius Elias III,
the Patriarch of Antioch & All th East who is interred at Manjanikkara near
Pathanamthitta, will be officially starting by the flag hoisting on Sunday, 4th
February and will be ending on Thursday, 15th February.
All Jacobite Churches in India will celebrate Sunday, 4th February as the
Patriarchal day. The Abbot of the Manjanikkara Dayara Kuriakose Mor Julios will
hoist the flag at 6.30 P.M. at the Omalloor Kurishumthotti. Thereafter on each
day Holy Qurbana will be celebrated at the Dayara by the Bishops of the Jacobite
church.
On February 9th, Bible convention will be officially started by the Asst.
Metropolitan of the Dayara, Geevarghese Mor Dionasios.
The pilgrims arriving by walking from all over Kerala will be given a rousing
reception at Omalloor Kurishumthotti Junction on 12th February afternoon 3 P.M.
and at 6 P.M. the 'Pilgrims Meet' and Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be held
at the Dayara complex.
The Perunal will be concluded on Tuesday, 13th February with Holy Qurbana and
Nercha Vilambu, thereafter.
