Kothamangalam church festival from Sunday

KOCHI: The annual perunnaal (festival) at Marthoma Cheriya Palli at Kothamangalam, an important pilgrimage centre for Jacobites, will begin on Sunday.
Tens of thousands of faithful from all over the State are expected to offer their prayers at the church, which is said to be more than three centuries old.
The key days of the festival are from October 1 to 3. Normally, on the last days of the festival, the town is crowded with pilgrims.
The church, located in the town centre, has been spruced up.
The body of Eldos Mar Baselius is interned at the church, and the faithful visit his mausoleum.
