I have trained as a professional middle eastern dancer with international experience in Mexico and the UK. I have learnt different dance techniques with renowned dancers in Mexico such as Amal Halima, Samira Vazquez, Lila Zellet, Rita Millan and percussionist Saul Espinosa.
I have attended workshops with international dancers Nourhan Sharif and Dalia Carella from New York, Ultra Gypsy's dancers Jill and Rose from San Francisco, Sara Farouk Ahmed, Najua from Brazil, Egyptian choreographer and composer Yousry Sharif, Belly Dance Superstars' Bozenka, Petite Jamilla and Rachel Brice. Currently I am studying an Advanced Course with Egyptian Percussionist and world music artist Hossam Ramzy and international dancer Serena Ramzy.
I have performed in corporative and private events, restaurants, bars, parties, clubs, television shows, as well as cultural events as festivals, theatres, galleries and outdoor spaces.
In Mexico I performed with gypsy dance group Cigani and gypsy music & dance troupe Egiptanos (2003-2004). I coordinated Middle Eastern dance group BADRA, where I performed with invited musicians (2005-2006). I was a dancer for Hookah Lounge, bar host of dancers, DJs and musicians (2004-2006). In 2007, I collaborated with visual artist Bruno Bresani in video "Veil" presented in dance and moving image festivals in Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona and Manchester. In summer 2008 I was a regular dancer for Levant Group restaurants in London.
As an instructor I have teaching experience in Mexico and the UK. I have taught since 2003 to groups of different ages in gyms, dance academies and in my own studio.
