The existence of University in
Malakand Division had been a felt-need since several years,the
execution of which was exercised by the personal painstaking
of his Excellency the Governor N.-WFP,Lt Gen(Rtd) Syed
Iftikhar Hussain Shah through presidential order/regulation,in
august 2001
It was Unanimously conceded upon by the educationists and
other related experts that the present location was a unique
one in the province as being a conflential and converging
point of eight district of the Malakand Division; namely,
DIR(Lower),Dir(Upper),Swat,Buner,Shangla,chitral,Bajour and
Malakand Agency.
By August 2001, a renowed taxonomist,Prof.Dr. Jehandar Shah
was appointed as a poineeringVice Chancellor of the University
to look after the Pious purposes of the university.
the university is spread over a specious site, and is ideally
located in the heart of Malakand Division on the bank of river
swat at chakdara (Lower dir). Its building facilities, adorned
with wide and vast lawns, tall and towering trees,
well-tailored green-house and gardens are both commodious as
well as elegant. the administration offices and teaching
departments, viz, Computer Science, Bio-Technology, Pharmacy,
English,Maths,sociology and Management Studies, are housed in
the main building
Since, we are at abreast with a prodigiously sophisticated
era of science and Technology ;thus, the University is
enormously to begin with other emerging fields sciences and
Arts in the nearest future for the purpose to exploit the
latent potentials and endowments of the posterity to come and
engage remarkably outstanding staff to serve the university in
raising to its dizzy heights, both in academic and
professorial accomplishments. Such an assertive involvements
would selectively uplift the university in all respect to
become member of the global family in seeking Universal
Panacea to the queries mankind is facing |
