| In the office Dr. Ricardo further tells Mauricio about the way he talks make him worried. He asked him why he is doing things that do not make sense. Dr Ricardo thinks since he has seen the baby, which could be the caused. Mauricio is so confused & happy at the same time. He has not been happy for quite some time already. He & Juana are happy together. He told him that … ‘I, Mauricio de la Vega am falling in love with her … with Juana’. In the photography room at home Juana & Brandy got back together & saw A.Maria walking down the stairs. A.Maria asked Brandy’s well being. A.Maria could not talk any further as they both wants to go the dark room. Maybe discussing something, she assumed. As soon as they entered in the room, Brandy asked her why she is smiling like a fool. Juana didn’t say a word but smiled to her. In the office Dr Ricardo could not believe again on what he had just told him. He asked whether he did drink alcohol. Mauricio said, no. He may look like a drunken person but if he is, it’s only because he’s happy. Mauricio feels like fainting because of loving a woman that exist in his life for the first time & from that … Juana had won & captivated his’s heart. Dr Ricardo told him that … it’s good to wake up from this dream & not being tricked by his own goals. Mauricio’s dream had come true & it’s happening at this very moment. Dr. Ricardo said that … in that case, you’ll be asking a divorce from Carlota as soon as possible & start a new life with Juana Perez, right? Mauricio was shocked at his statement. He doesn’t know what to say back. In the photography room at home Brandy can tell that there’s something going on with her because her face showed so much joy where she had never seen it before. She told her that, she’s now in another galaxy & the world has stopped to play her a song. Brandy still could not understand what she’s trying to tell her … so she asked her to speak in a simple language. Juana told her that, even though she does not know how Brandy feels when David had kissed her .. she can relate it to her experience as she had just kissed Mauricio earlier on. Brandy was shocked to hear it & informed to her that there will be consequences ahead of her soon. Juana was not satisfied with Brandy for making her happiness cut short. If she is just happy with only a kiss, then she’s still not ready for anything. Brandy just looked at her friend. In the office Mauricio told him that he did not even thought about divorcing Carlota. Dr Ricardo asked him again … so how & what now? As usual, Mauricio defends him self by saying that maybe now it’s the right time to think about divorce. It looks like its going to be complicated by the minute. Mauricio can not push aside Carlota just because something had happened to him, said Dr Ricardo. Mauricio can’t do anything as it has already happened to him quite some time ago. Dr Ricardo told him … he has a beautiful wife where most of the guys do want her because she has the sex appeal. Mauricio further explained to him that his lust has gone away for her … the only thing that he is with her is because of his duty & obligation – that’s all to it. Dr Ricardo said that … he knows now that what he sees in front of him is not Mauricio that he knew earlier on. Mauricio told him back … the only person who really knows him is Juana. Perez home / in the dark room Juana told her that … between her & Mauricio … there are things that are beyond their control. Since she met him, she could feel that Mauricio is not happy with his marriage as it really shows on his face. Event though they did not planed or asked for it, it’s seems to be fated … it’s meant to happened. For Juana, with just 1 kiss … is already important for her & it has never happened to her in all her life. With that explanation, she smiled at Brandy. At Enriqueta’s apartment Enriqueta & Manuel sits on a sofa while they drink, facing to each other. They both looked into each others eyes & smiled. Enriqueta complained to him that she’s not comfortable to sit on a dim place. She asked him to switch on 1 light. Manuel suggested candles & went straight to his bag to take it out. Enriqueta went to the other table to light 2 candles. Manuel smiled & looked at her with such desire while Enriqueta smiled back at him. Perez home / in the living room A.Maria reads a magazine while Azucena wipes the table top in the kitchen. Azucena explained to her daughter that if ever she agrees to go … it will only to show that Juana has a family & that she’s not alone by herself. They can give moral support to her. A.Maria was not satisfied with her bringing the subject of Carlos whom Azucena might think that her daughter will bring along at the party. In the office Dr Ricardo talked about the physical attraction that might make Mauricio so attached to Juana. He did not agree with him as there’s no sexual attraction between him & Juana. When he kisses Juana, he feels as though he had known her all his life. As for Carlota, he has no desire towards her anymore – not as it used to be. Dr Ricardo again, shocked to hear that he was kissing with Juana. Dr Ricardo said that … the situation is now out of control for him. How on earth will he be faithful to Carlota & other people around him … shouldn’t it be important to him. Mauricio was in a daze as he did not know what to say to him. At de la Vega’s house While drinking, Carlota walks up the stairs & was told by the 2 servants from d/stairs that all the necessary preparation is going on smoothly. Carlota was not satisfied with one the servant’s answer for the food caterer. He mentioned to both of them that it better be as she wants the party to be on time & perfect just as usual because her family & her friends will be there attending her son’s party. The 2 servants assured her that everything will be according to her plans. Perez house Juana & Brandy walked out from her room. They both approached A.Maria that was sitting on a sofa in the living room. A.Maria told them what they have been doing inside the dark room. Before Juana could say anything, Brandy helped her by saying that she had a problem & wanted to share it with Juana. They have been helping each other a lot these days. At Rogelio’s apartment Desiree & Rogelio got back from s/where & sat on the sofa. Rogelio mentioned to her that his father in law will be visiting them for a couple of days. Desiree took this opportunity to tell him to stay away from her & focus his attention to his family. She warns him to be careful & not jeopardized their relationship if any of them found out about their affair. Perez house A.Maria warns Juana not to use Rafael’s nickname especially at the party as Carlota hates the name, Fucho on Rafael. Juana & Brandy don’t understand it as they have been calling him that name when he was small. A.Maria also told her that, Rafael had invited the Perez family & Nicolas to his party. Juana & Brandy were quite stunned. At Enriqueta’s apartment Enriqueta sat on the floor enjoying the desert while she talked to her self ... she could not found any weaknesses from him. Manuel was also talking to him self on the other side of the table. He told him self that he will try his best to win & conquer Enriqueta’s heart no matter what it takes. After a while, they both toast to each other for love. Perez house In the kitchen, Juana drank a glass of water while Brandy looks on. Juana couldn’t believe that her whole family has been invited to the party. Brandy told her … could you imagine that you have to see Carlota & Mauricio walked hand in hand at the party. Juana was mad at Brandy for bringing it up as she does not want to imagine that scene. Juana can’t do anything as she has to be there for Rafael’s sake. All she’s worried is her family that will be stared at. At Enriqueta’s apartment Enriqueta praised Manuel for the desert. Manuel got up, walked to her & gave a helping hand to Enriqueta to stand up with him. They both slow dance & while their minds were talking to themselves. Enriqueta wished him to kiss but he didn’t, instead, he told her abruptly, that it’s time for him to wash the plates in the kitchen. Manuel left her standing alone & confused to what had happened. At Rogelio’s apartment Rogelio & Desiree lying on the bed, they had just made love. Rogelio was happy to be with Desiree & feels that the moment would not be exchanged with a/thing that he had done earlier on. Desiree slowly got up from the bed & put her cloths on. Rogelio asked her why he must wear the colon on while he has been using his own for years. Desiree told him that she’d go crazy if she smells the colon. Rogelio wants her again but Desiree gave excuses to discourage him from getting near her. She told him that Carlota & Mauricio is having a party to celebrate their new son, Rafael on Saturday. Rogelio was not pleased as he was not told about it. Perez house Brandy was told by her grandmother that, she saw Manuel got out with a bag full of food ingredients to a lady’s house. Brandy wanted to know whether Juana knew it or not. They both laugh at each other as they roughly knew that the person would be Enriqueta. At Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel was washing dishes while Enriqueta sat on the counter & watched him clean. She told him that, she’s not being fair, letting him do all the work. Manuel told her that, he does not leave work half way. Enriqueta slowly slide down from the counter & walked toward his back & asked him whether he knew how their night will end. Manuel suddenly tells her that he smells something burning & he rushed out to see what it was. Enriqueta again feels dumbfounded. Perez house Juana & Brandy were busily chatting about Enriqueta & Manuel. Both of them was hopping that Enriqueta & Manuel get along fine. Brandy thought that Manuel must have softened the ‘iron lady’. The both smiled. At Enriqueta’s apartment Mauel walked in to the kitchen & told her that a candle just dropped on a sofa. He saw Enriqueta wiping a plate with an angry look on her face. Manuel & Enriqueta played tug of war as they both tried to grab the plate from each other. The plate dropped, Manuel said sorry & Enriqueta got to her knees, to pick up the broken plate. She cut her finger & it bleeds, Manuel saw it & he licked the blood away from her finger. Enriqueta didn’t do anything to stop him. Perez home Juana escort Brandy to the door & bids farewell to her. A.Maria caught with her daughter & clarified with her … whether she will be going or not to Rafael’s party, if she is, A.Maria would want to follow. Juana was worried about that as she thought her mother could create havoc on that day. Juana told her that there’s no way she can decline as Rafael had been informed that she will be coming to take photos. At Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel closed both of her eyes with his hands & walked to the bathroom. Manuel then told her that she can open her eyes. Once Enriqueta opened her eyes, she could not believe what she sees.. Petals were scattered in the tub while candles were lit all around it. Manuel walked up to her & kissed her slowly. Perez house Juana was hopping that her mother can control her behavior & emotions when at the party. She does not want to be humiliated over there. A.Maria promised to her that she will try her best not to. At the table, Juana & her mother ate pasta. Juana asked her about her past relationship with Alfonso. A.Maria told her that Alfonso had treated her nice but he was not being fair with her. If it’s because of his daughter, Alfonso would have divorce his wife, .. even so, he has doubt about it … & made A.Maria waited for him for so long. A.Maria gave advice to her by saying that a guy who is married & still lives with his wife, would not give high hopes to a lady just because he does not love the wife anymore. It reflects Juana’s life too when she heard what her mother said. At de la Vega’s home Mauricio got back from work & starts to look the surroundings of his house. He told to him self that his house has been bought through his sheer determination & hard work. He wanted it for the purpose of building a happy family. He fails to fulfill his promise. To him, he has no family, just an adopted son because of wanting so much to be loved as a father. Rafael has caught his attention but the basic thing is … he does not have anything even though he’s surrounded by luxury. Carlota got down from the stairs & saw Mauricio sitting on the floor thinking of something. She woke him up from his day dreaming & asked him why he is sitting on the floor. He told her that he’s thinking about their house. Their house stands strongly but inside is empty … only the house that keeps them together. Carlota was shocked. He told her that he wanted to speak to her about their relationship & where it’s going. He’ll be honest & straight forward to her. He knows that their relationship is not as close as before & even his feeling towards her is not the same like it used to be … it’s long gone. Mauricio does not know how & when it happened but the fact is … there’s nothing between them anymore, love does not exist & give meaning anymore. Carlota’s face had turned white when he said all that. She felt like he had stabbed her deep inside. I feeeeel gooood … To Be Continued on Monday, 9th June 2003 |
