Mauricio called Juana and told her he need to see her right away. Told her to go to the park where they went for their first outing. He said he’ll wait for her there until she comes. She doesn’t want to go and so she told him, but he would not listen and he said he just wanted to make it up to her for being so insensitive when they had their last talk. She thought about the first time they were at the park together. At the time, he was thinking about the son he lost while she was worried about her pregnancy. He also thought about the time with her in the park and said to himself that at that time she was pregnant with my baby. After she hung up, she told herself she’s not going to see him. He’ll have to wait as long as he wants but she’s not going to appear at the park. She thought to herself that her abuela needed her more right now because she’s not feeling very well. She went to see abuela in her room and she was lying on her bed. When Juana asked her something, she wouldn’t answer, she didn’t even look at her granddaughter. Juana told her it’s ok if you don’t want to look at me. I just want to tell you that I didn’t do anything to hurt you intentionally. I’m growing up and I need to face the difficulties in life and I thank you for all the guidance you’ve given me. Do you remember when I was just a kid when you told me not to climb the tree but I did and came home with a scraped knee? You comforted me and that is what I need right now. Can I come and sit on the bed with you. Her abuela reached out her hand to Juana and she went to lie down beside her. She told Azucena that she’ll always be there for her.
Later Juana told her titi Mano that she needs to get a breath of fresh air and get out of the house. She ends up going to the park. Mauricio was waiting for her by spreading a mat and sitting on it. She told herself he’s just a man who’s sitting and nothing special about him. She keeps repeating it to herself so that she won’t get all soft and mushy inside. She went to him and sat down. She told him that he looks different now because most of the time, he’s very businesslike and serious. She told him to lie down on the grass because she wanted to see him in that position. She leaned against the tree and asked Mauricio if he remembered the time when they were at the cabin and he told her to trust him and he touched her protruding stomach. He said yes. She said now you should trust me because there is something I wanted to do for a long time. He was curious but he gives his permission to her to do what she wants. While he was lying down, she lies down from the opposite side so that her head will be on his shoulder and when they turned their heads, their faces are very close and they stared at each other for a long time. No words are necessary for what they feel for each other.
Later, they were about to go home, he told her he was very sorry for the things he said that hurt her feelings. He also told her she can work at the magazine. She asked him if he’s worried only about her pregnancy and not her but he told her it’s not true. When they were about to part, there was an awkward moment when they kissed each other’s cheeks and doesn’t know which way to turn their heads. They smiled at each other and kissed each other on the cheek and Mauricio sends her to her bike.
When Azucena was feeling angry and unhappy, all alone in her bedroom, came in Nicolas to cheer her up. With his exuberance, he talked a lot and makes her feel better. He told her the meat pie that her daughter made is not very good and if this goes on they’ll loose their customers. He also said that theirs is a partnership business and she can’t renege on her promise. She is needed and she should get up and face the day whatever it may bring. He said to her he’ll always be there for her and not to worry as she can count on him if she needs anything. Later he went down and was asked by Ana and Manuel and he told them he has accomplished what they couldn’t by making abuela feel happy again.
At the police station, Salvador told Ana how could he do the thing that she accused him of because he has respect for her and her family. He also told her that she must have known how he feels for her. When he brought her to the restaurant, he was so happy and looking at the light shining from her eyes and he was hooked for life. He has never been in love with anyone. This is the first time he has fallen in love. He was gripping her arms when he said these things to her. She was backing away from him without success. She thought he was going to kiss her but was timely saved by his deputy who came in to report that there is an emergency. He told Ana that they’ll continue their talk later. After he was gone, she waved her arms in disbelief at his declaration. She said to herself that he can make me calm down, when I came to see him, I was at the point of boiling with anger. I better get out before he came back.
She came back home and told Mano what happened. He told her that is the end result of your hot temper. He told her to always think before she acts but she wouldn’t listen. She told him she can’t believe that guy confesses his love to her. What was he thinking?
David came back to his apartment and told Carlos about his adventure which was made sweeter with Juana’s presence. He told her it was really great.
Brandy entered Enriqueta’s office and she told her about the Perez family. She told her about how the father left when Mano was young and he become the head of the household and assumes the responsibility at a very young age. Enriqueta was impressed and she looks as if she’s proud of him. Brandy told her she has to finish some work and later she’ll tell her more about the family.
Mauricio came back home and said to himself that he felt calm and serene and happy, it must be because of Juana . Raf came down the stairs and asked him if he could see Juana to tell her about him becoming a De La Vega. Mauricio told him that he’ll inform her about it. Raf told dad that Carlota prevented him from calling Juana. ‘Can you please ask her to give permission for me to contact Juana? Carlota came down the stairs and heard snippets of their conversation. Later she told Mauricio that she’ll help Juana in any way she can just like he asked her to.
Juana arrived at the hospital to see Lily and she saw Mickey there sitting on a chair waiting for Lily. She sat with him and he asked her whether he has a chance with Lily. She seriously thought about it. The waiting was making him nervous. After a while, she told him he has a chance with Lily. Lily came out of the room and she told Juana she was worried about her mother’s condition and whether she could get the money for her pacemaker. Mickey told her that he’s do everything in his power to make sure that she gets it. Lily hugged him and he looked at Juana with a smile on his face.
Ana was talking to Mano when the bell rang and Mano pushed Ana to open the door. Came in Salvador to continue his mission to softly conquer Ana’s heart.
