Desiree was on the phone with Rogelio when she saw the paper about Juana on Mauricio’s desk. This was a surprise to her because she missed the gossip about Juana because she does not have any friends at the office. She cut her conversation with the old man short to read the paper. She couldn’t believe it. Juana is pregnant even though she is a virgin. That’s a food for thought. After she hung up, and as she was looking at the paper and yammering, Ines came in and was surprised to see her. Desiree told her to knock on the door before entering. She then asked Ines if Mauricio saw the paper and answered herself by saying of course he saw it and read it as it’s on his desk. Then she went on her quest to find the truth and nothing but the truth. She went to see Armando to get information on the new development about Juana. She asked Armando about the news and he was surprised that she wasn’t on top of the gossip and she told him she doesn’t have any friends in this office. She asked him if Mauricio knows about Juana’s pregnancy and how he reacts to this news. Armando told her Mauricio wasn’t surprised at all which surprised him instead. She also asked him who is close to Juana in this office and was told that Brandy is the lucky girl. When she asked him if he knew why Mauricio wasn’t surprised, Armando was very vague on his answer and makes an excuse to get out of his own office real pronto. She thought to herself that there is something wrong here because there is no reason for Mauricio to be attracted to Juana if she is pregnant with another man’s baby because in her thinking, Juana is just a bit of a girl and not as beautiful as her. So, there must be an ulterior motive for Mauricio to be very interested in her. Then she remembered about the meeting in his lawn one night when he told her about the mother of his baby whom he doesn’t know the name or how she looked. And she think back about Juana being a virgin and came to the conclusion that as Mauricio is paying way too much attention to her, it might be because of her pregnancy and that the baby might belongs to him. She also remembered the time she saw the ugly sketch in Mauricio’s office and thought that must be Juana. To be really sure, she asked Brandy to see her in her office. When Brandy came in Desiree told her to answer all her questions truthfully and don’t interrupt her. She asked Brandy if she is Juana’s friend and if so since when. She was told that they have been friends since childhood and as close as blood sisters. She was asked if she’s angry that her friend was all over the paper and was told that Brandy’s angry at people who cannot live without gossiping about other people. Desiree asked if Juana was inseminated but Brandy refused to answer and told her that pleasing executive personnel wasn’t on her job description and exited her office. Brandy’s refusal to answer assured Desiree that her assumption was correct and she looked really pleased with herself and she smirked.

Old man Rogelio was in his office thinking if what he’s doing now will cost him what he has sacrificed so much in his life to gain (the wealth from his father in-law). He asked his butler / driver / advisor. Chema told him that it is not his fault and he should be able to live the life he wants. He also hinted to Rogelio that the old man (father in-law) can die now rather than waiting for the angel of death to come calling. Rogelio was intrigue with the idea and started to turn the wheels in his head. He thought to himself that there’s a lot of money and bonds in the safe in their house and he’s going to take them before he get rid of the old man.

Amparito was very angry with Humberto for not coming home after she had a fight with her husband. She told him that she was hoping for his moral and emotional support but he left her when he was needed most. He told her that he was very happy that his parents had a fight and his father left the house because he can’t stand it anymore to watch his mother suffer so much for someone who is not worthy of her. He asked her where is her pride and dignity when she let him treat her in such a manner. She should have left him long ago. She told him she doesn’t know what to do if he’s gone from her life and told her son she would be very lonely if the father left. Sometime later, she saw Rogelio’s car coming in and ran very quickly to make a call to her father. As he entered the house he saw his wife talking to his father in-law and the older man wants to talk to him.

Ana Maria went to Carlos’s apartment after her gym class. They have some drink while she told him about what’s happening in her life. He told her the colour of her aura is blue when she’s sad and she told him there’s no way he can see her aura. He tried to make her laugh and she looks young and carefree when she’s happy. While they were having a great time, she heard David coming and asked Carlos who’s that and was told that it’s his housemate. She went to hide in Carlos’s room. David came in and asked him he thought he saw someone ran into the room and asked who it is. He was told that it was the older woman from his class that he’s dating. Carlos asked him to please go into his room until she goes home. David complied with the request. Ana Maria came out after David was gone and she asked him if he is the same age as the housemate. He told her that the age doesn’t matter and that her maturity and thinking is nearly the same as his. She makes a quick exit and said goodbye. Carlos thought to himself that he has to make sure she doesn’t think about the age difference if he is to get close to her and get what he wants out of this relationship.

Brandy and the gang were having their usual discussion/gossip and Brandy told them there is nothing going on between Juana and their Jefe( boss). They believed her but at the back of their mind they thought that there is definitely something between Juana and Mauricio. Brandy told them that she has gotten David out of her system but no one believes her. They told her she is still hooked. Ines came into the lounge and told them that she went into Mauricio’s office and guess who she sees sitting in his chair. Desiree, who has the cheek to tell her to knock the door before entering as if it is her office.

Azucena and Mano were talking about Juana and Mano told his mom that she is not a child anymore and she has gone through a lot in the last few months and to have faith in her. Grandma was not very happy and she told him that she suspects that Mauricio has an ulterior motive for getting close to Juana. She told him ‘you are a man, don’t you know that he must want something out of her to be so nice to her’. She also told him she knew from looking at him that he wants something from her. Mano has to agree with her. There was a call for Mano on the phone.

Mauricio and Carlota were arguing about Juanas’ family visit to their house and Carlota told her husband that they came to look at their house and they are going to ask for money. Mauricio didn’t agree with her and he told her he has feelings for Juana which is to protect her and keep her safe. She couldn’t believe what she’s hearing. She started yelling at him when he asked her assistance to help him take good care of Juana. She told him she went to see Padre Jose but couldn’t get a baby. She’ll get him a baby if he wants but he has to get Juana out of his life. He told her she might not understand it now but one day she will.

Juana went to the hospital to see Lily and to her and gives her moral support. Mickey came up with an idea to get the money to pay for the pacemaker. When both of them were sitting together, Juana told Lily that Mickey has changed and it might be because he was in love with Lily. Lily told her she’s not thinking about anything right now other than her mom.

Juana came back to her house to find that no one was home and she was happy that no one is going to bother her with questions. There was a note saying that grandma was at church, Mano went out and Ana went to gym class. She lies on the sofa and thought about the scene at the cabin where she nearly kissed Mauricio and talked to herself that thinking about Mauricio makes her forgets her sorrow. Suddenly there was a call from Mauricio and he was worried that her family will be angry at her for not coming home that night. He told her it’s not good for her in her condition. She was touched by his caring. He told her to take care and she told him that he should take care of himself too.

Enriqueta arrived at the restaurant and the waiter asked her if she’s meeting with some business people and she said no, then she must be eating alone and she said no, then he concluded she must be waiting for a date and she smiled yes. He told her it’s about time because he never saw her enjoy herself. It’s good to enjoy once in a while. He told her he would get her the most romantic table available. While she was looking around, Manolito leaned near her ear from the back and greeted her with a kiss on her cheek. They looked into each other’s eyes for a while and smiled. Then they were shown to the table and the waiter pulled the chair out for Eriqueta but she went to sit on the other side, so Mano sat on the chair pulled by the waiter so as not to embarrass him. She thought to herself that she’s going to test him to see if he is a chauvinistic prig. He thought to himself ‘ I think she’s testing me because she is the one doing the asking for their first date, she decides the restaurant, and she also decides on the menu.’ He told her why she doesn’t sit on the chair pulled by the waiter and was told that she doesn’t like people to treat women like they are fine Chinese porcelain. They are not. She told him it’s ok for man to go to a bar and drink alone then why can’t a woman go to a restaurant alone and do the same thing? He told her when a man is in a bar alone, he’s thinking about a woman. And if the woman is thinking about a man while she is alone then he’s got no problem with it. Then he leaned over and asked her in a whisper if she thought about him these last few days when she was alone and she smiled.
