In their room, juana and her mom sat on juana’s bed and her mother hugged her while she told her daughter she doesn’t know what to tell her daughter or give any advice like a good mom would have done. She asked her daughter to tell her exactly what happened and juana told her nothing happened because just look at her face, it’s not glowing as it would be if Mauricio has loved her last night. She said that she still looked like before she went out with Mauricio. She also told her mom she is a responsible person and to trust her. Ana told juana that love is something you can’t control. Juana told her mom that she knew what she’s feeling is going to destroy her in the end but she can’t help it. she loves him so much even though she knew he’s married and out of her reach but she couldn’t stop her heart from loving him despite everything. She asked her mom why his voice is so lovely to her ears. Ana told her that she empathize with her and that she knew better than to say that love is beautiful all the time and it’s gonna make her happy but with her experience with a lot of wrong men, she told her daughter to prepare herself for some suffering and pain along the way. Ana told her that she would have liked to talk longer but she has to go to the gym and told her to take some rest and hugged her goodbye. On her way down the stairs, she saw manuel waiting on the steps and told him what juana said and that she believes her daughter that nothing happened between Juana and Mauricio. Manuel also agreed with her. she left to go to the gym.
Manuel went into the kitchen to make some soup so that he can give it to juana and fish information out of her. Nicholas came in while he was making the soup and told him it smelled really nice and he should teach azucena how to make it so that they could increase their income while selling the pies. manuel went up to juana’s room and knocked, she told him she wants to be alone but he told her be brought something for her and so she opened the locked door. He came in like a waiter and offered her the French soup with all pomp and ceremony. His antics brought a smile to her face. She tasted it and really likes it. he asked her what happened and she told him what happened and told him of her love for Mauricio which she doesn’t seem to control even though it will bring her a lot of suffering. He hugged her tightly as if to give his inner strength to her. she told him his decision to prevent himself from falling in love was a smart move on his part because their family has never been lucky at love. He wonders if what she said is true because it could be lonely sometimes. On his way out of her room, he said to himself that he sympathizes with her because she is experiencing a lot of things at a same time such as love and pregnancy which she didn’t ask for and all the suffering when she should be happy and carefree as someone her age should be feeling. Alone again in her room, juana told herself that she has to stop herself from feeling this way because in the end, it’s her who’s gonna get hurt. But she told herself it’s not like she could stop loving him even if she wanted to.
In his office, Mauricio and the guys from Miami signed an agreement and both parties are very satisfied. Mauricio was talking to armando while desiree was looking at him and she thought back to the incident before the meeting when she demanded Mauricio explain to her what he was doing with juana and what they were doing last night. He told her she has no right to know what he’s doing and he has no obligation to explain to her. Armando told Mauricio he was a little worried when he saw yesterday when he left with juana that he wouldn’t have the time to prepare for the meeting. Mauricio told him there’s nothing to worry and his relationship with juana is not what Armando think it is. After everyone left to celebrate, enriqueta remained and told him of manuel’s visit and she told him she respect him and likes him but he must be careful with what he’s doing. Mauricio explained that it’s not what they thought but he can’t explain to her in detail. Maybe one day when the time is right.
Carlota came in and saw that Mauricio is talking to enriqueta and asked if she was disturbing them. Enriqueta make a quick exit and reminded Mauricio that their guests are waiting to celebrate. Mauricio bring along carlota to meet his guests and introduce them to her. they told him he has great taste in everything including woman.
Desiree went into the photography to confront juana but she wasn’t there and so she vent her anger on the chairs. She looked around and said juana is very sloppy because she didn’t keep the room clean and she, desiree will see that juana pays for it. she seemed really obsessed with Mauricio and can’t stand it that juana is closer to him than her . while she was raving and ranting, she heard footsteps and hide behind screen. Mauricio came in to see juana and share the good news with her. he wondered where she was. He said to himself that he thought he knew everything there is to know about her but now, he thought not. Desiree was seething hearing that and vowed her vengeance.
Alfredo told Rogelio that he is giving advice to his father because he still has respect for him and told him to leave desiree and come back to his mother as she hasn’t told her father about what happened. Rogelio told him he can’t do that as he is in love with desiree. He told alfredo his marriage lasted that long because of the children and not because he wanted to remain married to her. alfredo told his father that his mother really loves him. But he was told that the kind of love his mother has for Rogelio could kill him. But alfredo said that the kind of love rogelio felt for desiree could get him killed by either his mother or grandfather. Rogelio’s face looked as if he swallowed something bitter at hearing that.
Brandy sat at her desk and stole glances at david when he’s not looking. He was talking to popeye about the morning’s hottest news which is juana and mauricio’s arrival at the office wearing yesterday’s clothes. David couldn’t and wouldn’t believe what he’s hearing. Popeye told him he doesn’t know how to explain to him so that david could understand. David then went to see Armando after the meeting and asked him about juana and Mauricio arriving at the office together. He was told the same thing by Armando. As he couldn’t accept it, he rationalizes by saying that Mauricio is attracted to juana because she is pregnant and as he couldn’t get a child of his own, and so was attracted to the whole process of being pregnant.
Brandy and her pals are at a standoff but they misses her and so shiva and the rest discussed how best to approach brandy so that their misunderstandings can be put in the past. Miledy in the lead approach brandy and told her they missed her and it would be great if she would have lunch with them. Brandy said of course and that she also misses them and group hugs all around. Later when they were in the lounge, desiree was on her way to mauricio’s room and overheard them saying what a perfect woman carlota is and she is the most perfect woman they have ever met. Desiree told them wait till carlota heard who Mauricio spent last night with, then they can see the most imperfect woman they have ever met and went on her way. Labibi said that she’d rather have a dog for a friend than someone like desiree who is carlota’s friend.
Desiree went into Mauricio when he was celebrating their agreement with the gringos from Miami. She was angry that she was not invited to carlota’s house to have lunch with the visitors. She called Rogelio from mauricio’s office and told him of the agreement between Mauricio and the people from Miami. Rogelio was angry and asked her to tell him the details but she told him he can ask his son. He told her his son might miss some details as he is a man. She couldn’t concentrate on their conversation because she saw the newspaper about juana on mauricio’s desk.
Carlota introduced the guests to their only son Rafael to the guests and Mauricio looks a bit pained at hearing that he was the only child because he knew better what with juana pregnant with his child. They went to the lawn and one of the guests saw the dog and he told Mauricio he also has a dog at home and asked them to come for a visit.
Mickey came in and told juana she was needed at the hospital because lily is all alone and doesn’t know what to do. Manuel and juana thought lily’s mother passed away, but mickey told them that she needed a pacemaker but couldn’t afford it and lily’s estranged father is not going to help them.
