Before the argument
escalates between Ana and Carlota Manuel dragged his sister out of Mauricio’s house
and on his way to the door, he apologized to Carlota. They left in a hurry. Manuel was
very angry with his sister and told her she could have let him handle the situation. She
told him she’s not going to let that woman treat them the way she did. Manuel told
her it was a mistake to go there and she agreed. Azucena heard their conversation and
asked them what was a mistake and both of them were silent for a while. Then Manuel told
her that they were discussing about the electrical appliance and it’s about time they
bought a new one. Azucana wasn’t buying any of their explanation. She asked them to
tell her the truth and they did. Azucena couldn’t sleep last night worrying about her
granddaughter.
David saw Brandy going into the lounge and followed her. He told her he was very sorry for
the way he treated her and that she meant a lot to him. She told him she was very happy
that night but he hurt her feelings. She thought there was something between them but he
destroyed it. She told him he was thinking about another girl while he was kissing her.
She told him to go away and leave her alone. David doesn’t know what to do and left.
Juana and Mauricio depart for the office after the car was fixed. When they arrived, the
representatives from Miami were waiting for him and Enriqueta was making them comfortable
and introducing them around. When they came in, Mauricio’s coat was on Juana’s
arm and everyone noticed. They wondered what happened last night as both are still wearing
the same clothes and arrived at the same time. In his office, while they were discussing
with the representatives, Desiree was watching Mauricio closely and wondering what is
going on between him and Juana because she could not believe if he is really in love with
that little bit of a girl. The gang started to gossip among themselves and wonders if
Juana spent the night with Mauricio and concluded she probably did. One of them followed
Juana into the photography room to investigate what happened last night between Juana and
Mauricio. She told Juana she is not there to find out anything for the gossipers, which is
exactly what she was doing. Juana told her nothing happened between her and her boss. They
went out and the car was break down and they were stranded there until help arrived. The
girl also told Juana about the situation between David and Brandy. Later both Brandy and
Juana discusses about the situation they were in. they talked about what happened to Juana
last night and she told Brandy about her feelings for Mauricio. Brandy told her that she
felt like she was in heaven when David kissed her. Both feel helpless with their feelings
for the men.
Carlota was worried by what happened and started to doubt her husband but Humberto told
her there might be nothing going on with Mauricio and told her not to worry. She went to
visit her mother who was trimming the hedges with a vengeance and Carlota asked her if she
was thinking about someone when she was trimming them. She asked her mother if she told
her grandfather what happened but her mother didn’t. she also told her mother to let
go of her son Humberto. But Amparito told her she would not let him go to some women who
doesn’t appreciate him and that’s the end of it.
Alfredo went to see his father and told him that Mauricio is meeting with some people to
save Positivo. Rogelio is not worried as he thinks he’s holding the trump card
because he believes that the shares Desiree holds combined with his will give them the
majority votes in the shareholders’ meeting. He thinks Desiree will do whatever he
told her to because she was afraid of him and owe him a lot. Alfredo told his father that
what he did to his mother by leaving her will be his downfall. But the father refuted by
saying that his father in-law will forgive him if he could get Positivo and Desiree as a
life partner. Alfredo disagrees and told him that although his grandfather is the most
cunning and evil person he has ever met, but when it comes to the happiness of his only
daughter (Amparito), he will side with her and would not care about his business. Rogelio
seems stressed hearing that because there is a ring of truth in that statement.
Juana called home after her meeting with Enriqueta who told her of Manuel’s visit and
how she helped Juana by convincing Manuel that there is nothing going on between Juana and
Mauricio. Juana thanked her and told her she knew her family loves her very much but
sometimes they get on her nerves. She was worried about her families and how they will
react to this incident. She made the call and her mother was on the line and she
repeatedly told her mother not to come to the office and that she will ask permission to
leave early. When she’s is home, they can grill her all they want for the answers.
But please don’t come to the office. She gave her mother a short version of what went
on last night which is Mauricio take her for a ride in his car, the car broke down, and
they waited for help to arrived and nothing happened between her and Mauricio. Her mother
was pacified for now. Later Juana arrived home and they said ‘here comes the person
who could explain to them what happened last night’. They told her grandma couldn’t
sleep last night worrying about her.
