| Manuel was in the living room with
Nicolas when Azucena came in short quick steps. She asked her son if he has the address of
the Magazine House where Juana is working. Manuel asked why she wants to know. Nicolas
said Mauricio gave him his card and handed it over to Azucena, the old woman took it,
looked at it and said, "perfecto.. perfecto!" then hurriedly went upstairs much
to the bewilderment of Manuel, he then threw the towel he was holding to the boy,
narrowing his eyes as if to say "Now look what you have done". Minutes later
Azucena came bustling down the stairs neatly dressed as if she is going in for the kill.
Manuel tried to squeeze some info as to where she was going. She brushed him off saying
it's not his business to know and that she is old and don't have to explain to anybody
what she is doing, "I'm in a hurry.. excuse me".. and left. In his office, Mauricio was telling Desiree that he wasn't interested if she was cold or not. "But it was a slander", countered Desiree, "she said that just to humiliate me". "I don't know about that" said Mauricio, "We are discussing works here and personal problems shouldn't be one of the agenda, we should draw a line that segregate one from the other. Honestly I regret my decision in letting you work here without first trying to find out what really happened behind the disappearance of Francisco.. in another words I'm asking you to quit". That shocked Desiree, she sat upright and stared at Mauricio. Desiree said Mauricio is not being fair and his preventing her from working here is not a good decision, and wants to know if he is making her his enemy? Mauricio said he is not making anybody his enemy, he should be focusing on work and on how to save the magazine instead of wasting his time trying to solve something which has no bearing on the mag and further added that he is not interested with her loves life. Desiree warned him she's taking Francisco place as a share holder and it's not wise going against her. Carlota came home and inquired from the maid where her mother was and shocked to hear that she has gone home. "Home? what do you mean home she was asleep when I left". "She was not" explained the maid, "as soon as you left, she came down the stairs and went home". Carlota called Alfredo at the office and he told her mama is at the office and he's taking her home and Carlota should meet them there. In the photo studio Juana was happy and busy taking from various angles and positions photographs of the male model who, clad only in his swimsuit generously paraded his manliness. Juana was thinking her abuela would've a heart attack if she could see what she is doing now. After the session the model said Juana works like a pro and knows what she was doing. She said even though she has no diploma, but knows her job well. The she politely told him to get dressed as she is going to see Enriqueta and will come back later. In the office lounge, the female model was coyly talking to David, saying how happy she was being with him, and tried to kiss him. Brandy appeared from nowhere in time to prevent the kiss. Brandy made quite a fuss, said only his girlfriend can kiss him on the mouth and "that's me". David was embarrassed, the office gossipers were there giggling and whispering apparently enjoying the show. He told Brandy to control herself, but it looked like Brandy wasn't going to stop. He told her he'll talk to her later and walked the model out towards the reception area. Mauricio was in his office grumbling at how things seem to be going against him, when Ines informed him that a woman is here to see him. In exasperation Mauricio told her he thought he made it clear that he isn't to be disturbed, however he stopped dead when Juana's grandma senora Azucena herself appeared in the doorway. Ines went out closing the door behind her but was in time to hear Azucena's deadly question to Mauricio "Please explain What is it you want with the Perez family, senor Mauricio?" Mauricio had a hard time explaining that Juana is special to him, very important to his life and that he wants to help her bla.. bla..(actually a repeat of what he said to Manuel the night before, more or less). Much words were exchanged back and forth. Finally Azucena asked "Juana can give everything to you, but can you do the same to her in return?" "Probably not" said Mauricio. Azucena said if Mauricio really wants to help Juana, don't come to the Perez home again and stop seeing her. Meanwhile Juana was having a hard time in the corridor when she suddenly bumped into Desiree who was in an evil mood, she said Juana shouldn't try to be smart with her, she is her boss and Juana is way below. When Juana said Enriqueta is her boss, Desiree said even Enriqueta is working for her just like Juana since she is one of the shareholder and that their salaries came from her pocket. Juana tried to leave but Desiree grabbed her arm and she grimaced in pain. Desiree went on to humiliate her by saying that she couldn't understand why Mauricio would be interested in a nobody, plain looking girl like Juana, and how he valued so much the painting Juana gave to him, this bit of information really baffled Juana. She didn't remember giving Mauricio any painting. At Amparito's home, Carlota and her brothers were having their hands full trying to calm mama Amparito. Carlota sided with her mother, she said she should've heeded her mother's warning about not taking Desiree under her roof. The youngest brother suggested his mother should divorce papa Rogelio as he gives her nothing but unhappiness to which Amparito snapped that she and his father are meant for life only death do they part and she'll kill anyone who tries to take him away from her. Coming out from Enriqueta's office, Juana saw her grandmother outside Mauricio's office and said that she is the last person she expected to see and inquired what is she doing there. When granny started to say things that might lead to something unpleasant right there before everybody, Juana suggested they go somewhere where they can talk. Juana whisked abuela into her studio only to stumble upon the male model caught with his pant's down (pun intended - anonymous). Abuela shrieked and covered her face seemingly horrified. Juana embarrassed.. half shouted at the model telling him to leave. The model uttered some excuses and hurriedly put on his pants and timidly made for the door, topless. Desiree went back to her apartment (Rogelio's apartment, that is) all the while crying vengeance on Amparito. She picked up a hand mirror and looked at her face, let out an unearthly laugh and promised herself the next time she meet Amparito she'll pull every single one of her hair out. "Nobody messed up with me and certainly nobody is going to stop me achieving my dream.. now", she said, "My victory is near.. I'll get Mauricio soon enough.. along with the power I've always wanted, even if I've to sell myself to Rogelio Vivas". In his office, Mauricio is talking to himself.. again (he seems to have gotten into that unenvious habit lately). He reasoned with himself that he should't blame Senora Azucena for having said all those things, she has Juana's interest to protect, but still he can't let her go away from him.. what am I to do he mused. David was explaining to Brandy they were just friends, nothing special going between them and that after he was unsuccessful with Juana his heart is closed to any woman. Maybe in the near future when the time comes..." Brandy cut him short "Oh yeah give me false hope.. I bet when you kissed me last night you thought you were kissing Juana, huh?" With that she stormed away leaving David, with his infamous hands gesture halfway in midair about to emphasize a point. In the Perez home, Manuel received an unexpected visitor in the form of father Jose who informed him that his mother Azucena had bumped into La Vega's wife at the church, it seemed to him they have let a few sparks fly since both of them left the church upset and angry. In the studio abuela furiously demanded an explanation from Juana what a naked man was doing in her workplace. She patiently explained to her nothing bad had happened and that the man was a model and it's her job to take photograph for the magazine. Abuela said, "You're still a minor and you've never been with a man, if your job requires you to be in such surroundings then this is not the place for you." Juana reasoned that it was grandmother who encouraged her to work because bringing up a baby isn't cheap". Abuela has already decided that Juana should leave her job and she is taking her out from this place and away from Mauricio for good, with that she began to drag Juana towards the door. Juana resisted chanting no.. no. At that precise moment our charming prince in disguise stepped inside the studio, looking confused and sad as ever as though the burden of carrying the world's problem is heaped on his shoulder alone.
