| Mauricio came home and Desiree under
the influence of alcohol (perhaps) has the courage to tell him how she feels about him.
Mauricio told her she drinks too much and it'd be better to sleep it off or she may do or
say something she would regret tomorrow. Desiree said she is sober and knows what she is
doing, she then got closer to him, playing with his collar and tried to kiss him on the
mouth, but was interrupted by the male servant. Mauricio escaped to his bedroom, later
told the servant not say anything not even to the house maid about what had happened. Meanwhile Amparito called Carlota and told her that her father is having an affair with this other woman and this time it's for real, he is going to leave her and has asked for a divorce. Carlota tried to calm her down. In the Perez home, Juana was in her "photo room" trying to develop the shots she has taken at the restaurant, she was musing to herself thinking about Mauricio and the conversation he had had with her uncle. When her uncle came into the room a little later she persuaded him to tell her what Mauricio had said to him. He hemmed and hawed a lot before he gave up to her unrelenting persuasion. He told her that Mauricio thinks she is the most important person on earth to him, she is his life his everything. Juana was in heaven and couldn't hide her smile. MORNING: Juana was preparing herself going to work. The rest of the family were busy doing something in the kitchen/dining room. Manuel was complaining that the crowd again had gathered on their front porch. His mother suggested calling Salvador to ease up the situation. Then the doorbell rang. Manuel opened the door and in walked two very tough guys dressed in black. They said they were sent by Mr De La Vega to escort Miss Juana Perez to the office. Juana was amused but the family was not happy, everybody started talking at once voicing their dissatisfaction at what Mauricio was doing. Juana has enough protection from her own family, why do she need another body guard? Ana Maria told Juana to report sick and stay home. Juana wouldn't hear about it and said she is going to work, better with bodyguards in a flashy black car than going in a taxi. Desiree was getting ready to leave La vega's house for good. She told Carlota she was sorry things had to turn out this way. Carlota said she thought she was her friend but tries to seduce her father behind her back and she can't take that. Before she left Desiree told Carlota not to feel so smug with her life with Mauricio, there are things stalking in the background that might turn her life topsy-turvy. Carlota instantly became alert and tried to extract for more information, but Desiree elusively said her taxi is here and I have to go. Mauricio came down the stairs and helped her with her bags. They went out leaving Carlota in deep thought. As Desiree was leaving Mauricio's house, she told him she might come in late to the office. Mauricio said not to worry, she can take all the time she wants. Later Desiree went to see Rogelio at his office and he brought her to his furnished apartment he seldom used, but never the less it was luxuriously equipped with Jacuzzi. He told her sort of "there are prawns behind the stones" that the apartment is hers and she can stay there as long as she wants. Desiree looked around trying not to look too cheap and eventually smiling seductively said "Alright I'll stay here until I get my own apartment." "Swell, it's settled then" said Rogelio, a little lewd smile playing at the corner of his mouth. Juana arrived at the office with her bodyguards to the bewilderment of the receptionist. She tried to ask Juana what was going on, Juana said something like it's the curiosity that kills the cat and went on her way. Soon the receptionist was passing on the gossips to the ladies in the office. They were quite shock and lost for words as to why Mauricio is providing bodyguards for a mere photographer. Juana was in the office photo room when Enriqueta called and asked her to come and see her in her office. Enriqueta handed Juana another assignment and she gave her the photos she had taken at the restaurant. Enriqueta was pleasantly surprised "So fast?" she said. "I processed it at home" Said Juana. Enriqueta told her to include it in her bills for reimbursement. Juana said it's not necessary. Enriqueta said it's office rules, they don't want employee spending own pocket money doing office work. At Mauricio's house, Amparito was really at her wit's end. The identity of the other woman who tries to take her husband away is still a mystery, as it is she can't develop strategies to get him back. Carlota dropped the bomb, she said she knows who the other woman is... Amparito gaped and a couple of flies went it (ahaks no flies, but she gaped). To be continued today.
