CHURCH: Padre Jose told Mauricio that Juana is not only a strong girl, but she would not give up on her child. She told him that no one is going to take her baby away from her. Mauricio looked very content and happy at hearing that. Padre Jose asked him if want to confess but Mauricio told him he would think about it. Then he left feeling very happy that Juana is not giving up his baby for adoption. He thought that the first thing he has to confess is that he is the father of Juana’s baby. The Padre told himself that Mauricio is hiding something. He could feel it.
JUANA’S HOUSE: Ana Maria and Manuel arrive home and she couldn’t understand why Juana would stay with her friend. Manuel told her to leave her daughter alone as she is not a child anymore. The grandma arrives and told Ana to treat Salvador with more hospitality. Ana told her it’s not her problem and she didn’t ask Salvador to do anything. Ana also told Azucena if she liked him so much she should take him. Azucena told her daughter to have more respect for her mother. Manuel reproached his sister for saying such things to their mother and Ana left laughing. Manuel said t himself those two always fight with each other when together but missed each other a lot when apart and left to finish his repairing job on Sonia’s cooking appliance. At his working area, Manuel couldn’t believe that Enriqueta would refuse to admit what happened in the lift. He has never met a woman like her. She doesn’t know that he’s not just going to give up like that. She’s really wrong if she thinks that the incident is the end of their relationship. Suddenly Petra arrived at his working area by climbing over the back fence. She started to walked towards him slowly and took one spaghetti string off her shoulder that is holding her top. He moved backwards a little and told her she shouldn’t be here but she persisted. He took hold of her hand and was about to open the front door and send her home when he looked out the front window and there she was. Juana sitting in Mauricio’s car and him holding her face. Manuel goes out to the front and waited but both of them didn’t seem to notice him as they were occupied with each other. This set his blood to boiling. What does Mauricio think he is doing with my beloved and innocent niece? While Petra was looking through the window, Ana came downstairs and mumbled to herself that her body is tired and she is acting as if she’s a teenager while she’s not and had some drink and went upstairs. Juana came in a while later and looked trough the window and wonder what the men were talking about. Petra in her hiding place talked to herself that tonight was a very busy night at Azucena’s house. Awhile later, grandma came downstairs and asked Juana, what she was doing looking at the window at night. Juana told her she was looking at the stars.
She then distracted her grandma by asking her to make some juice for her in the kitchen. Grandma told her about the paper and she told her she saw it at the office and the office mates were busy talking about it. She was asked whether Mauricio knows about it and if he’d fired her. She told abuela that he didn’t fire her rather he supports her. Later Manuel came in and saw the grandma and Petra who was about to be discovered. He distracted her with questions about what she is doing at late night and she told him about her worries about Mauricio and he reassured her. After she was gone he told Petra to leave.
OUTSIDE JUANA’S HOUSE: After his meeting with the priest, Mauricio asked himself what he is doing in front of Juana’s house. He stopped the car and looked up at the house and wonders which was her room and if she is sleeping. Suddenly she was in front of him in her Pitusa and she asked him what he is doing here. He told her he didn’t hear her come and she told him when it is this late she stopped her engine on her way to her house. He told her he was thinking about her and she looked very pleased at hearing that. She was about to park her motorbike, when Mauricio got out of his car and told her she shouldn’t do that in her condition and he pushed the bike while she was still on it. she asked wouldn’t it be better if she got off first, and he agreed. When he parked it for her she thought to herself that he looked handsome no matter what he did. She doesn’t know what to do with the feelings she has for him. Later, they sat together in his car and talked quietly on a quite and peaceful night. She asked him what his feelings are for her after she told him about her pregnancy. She asked him to tell her the truth. He didn’t answer for a while. She told him she understands and she doesn’t know what to do about her feelings for him. She also told him that he was her first love. She tried to prevent herself from falling in love after watching her mother suffer for the wrong men. But she can’t help falling in love with him. She did have a boyfriend once. All they did was kiss and it was different because she didn’t love him. She told him a kiss between loving couples is different. When she looked up from saying that, his face was very near hers. They looked at each other’s eyes for a while. Sometime later she pulled away and told him it was a mistake for him to come here. He told her that even though they could not have the relationship they want because he’s married, he told her, she’s very special to him. They could love each other like brother and sister. She looked all teary and she agreed although her heart was breaking. She dabbed at her tears that falls onto her cheeks with her fingers. He told her he would always be there for her. At the back, her uncle was looking and waiting for them to notice him. When they didn’t, he came out and he approached the couple and both were embarrassed. They got out of the car and being the protective uncle that he is he told Juana to leave him alone with Mauricio. Juana told him nothing happened and Mauricio was just passing by and saw her and she just arrived and saw him and she pointed to her Pitusa. Her uncle doesn’t believe her story. He asked Mauricio if he arrived at the same place and at the same time as Juana and he was told yes. On her way into the house Juana silently mouthed to Mauricio that she is sorry for the way her uncle is treating him. Then he grilled Mauricio what he was doing with his niece and told him that he couldn’t have a relationship with Juana because he’s married and the only one who’ll get hurt is Juana. Mauricio told him that he has no intention of hurting anyone. He just wants to help Juana because she’s the most important person in his life right now and she has given him a miracle. He told Manuel he‘ll make sure Juana goes to Loa Angeles to study and got her scholarship after she gave birth to her baby. Manuel couldn’t figure him out but the guy convinced him that he would never harm Juana and the explanations he gave were very confusing. So Manuel has to be content with it for now.
AT THE BIRTHDAY PARTY: Armando told Popeye that love is in the air because David was paying more attention to Brandy than any other girl. Popeye told him he was sorry for him because of his situation with Enriqueta and Armando looks as if he’s swallowed something bitter at hearing that. Later David was passed out on one of the chairs and they asked Brandy to retrieve his keys so that Armando could take him home. When Brandy searched his shirt pockets and found nothing, they cheered her to search the keys in his pant’s pockets. They told her if she might find something else if she couldn’t find the keys. Later, she kissed him on the lips before he was helped by Armando to his car. He could barely walk.
ENRIQUETA’S HOUSE: She sits on the sofa and thinks about Manuel and smiled to herself. She thinks back to the scene in the lift where Manuel told her to let him be the distracting force so that she can forget about her panic of closed spaces and kissed her. Then she reflects on the incident in her office where Manuel leaned over from the back of her chair and told her that something did really happened between them and she can’t deny it. She told him it was all in his imagination. She remembered that scene and smiled girlishly and looked very happy. She couldn’t help thinking about him. He is a male above the cut. Not like any other male she has ever met before. He is the crème de la crème of the male population. Suddenly her happy thoughts were disturbed by a phone ringing. Who else could it be but Armando. He asked her why she wasn’t there celebrating with them. She told him she doesn’t want to. He replied that they are very happy even without her and LaBibi is entertaining everyone with her dancing. She told him that is what Bibi is good at. Partying and entertaining men. She told him to enjoy himself and hung up on him. She said to herself that there is no medication that can cure Armando of whatever that is ailing him.
DAVID’S HOUSE (I think): Armando brought a drunken to the house and sat him on the sofa. He woke and Armando told him about the way he was acting tonight with Brandy. Armando said I could see the love flying in the air tonight. David told him he couldn’t remember anything tonight. He also said that he was very much in love with Juana. He is feeling very angry. He touched his chest and said it really hurts inside his chest. The pain was caused by Juana and the pregnancy. Armando thought that David was over Juana, now he thought not.
BRANDY’S HOUSE: She was sitting on her bed, smiling a wide smile and talking to herself that she couldn’t believe that the man she admire and love for so long is starting to react to her in the same way. Her mother asked her why is she smiling and she concluded that it might be because of a man. Brandy asked her mother how could she tell and was answered that she was pregnant with Brandy for 9 months and that is how she knew what Brandy is thinking. Brandy told her mother that the guy at work she’s been admiring is returning her feelings. Both of them smiled at each other.
MAURICIO’S HOUSE: Carlota was in front of the mirror in her bedroom and looking at her reflection, said to herself that tonight was her night as Desiree would be moving to her own apartment on the morrow. She convinced herself that what her mother said about Desiree was right to a certain point. That Desiree is trying to seduce a man, but it’s her father and not her husband. She opened the dressing table drawer and take out a very short and sexy nightgown in scarlet red to seduce her husband tonight. Downstairs in the living room Desiree was talking to herself that Carlota marriage is in a lot of trouble because Mauricio is going to give all his attention to the woman who is pregnant with his child and not Carlota. She sounded a little tipsy what with the alcohol she was taking. Later Mauricio came in and she told him that she is going to confess her feelings.
