ALFREDO’S OFFICE: Alfredo called Carlota and when she doesn’t know about Juana
being the latest sensational news, he told her that not only did the paper say she’s
pregnant even though she’s still a virgin, she also can perform miracles.
RECEPTION AREA: The receptionist asks David what’s wrong with him because he looked
so glum. He told her there’s nothing wrong with him. She told him that if the problem
is serious, then she can help him and she wants to know if his condition is caused by
Juana.
MAURICIO’S OFFICE: Armando asked Mauricio why he is so sensitive when it comes to
Juana. Before he could respond, Enriqueta came in and ask Mauricio what he planned to do
with Juana as she is the talk of the office, and in her opinion, Juana is a good girl who
is responsible and hardworking. Armando says ‘here comes Juana’s lawyer’.
Enriqueta saw the paper on Juana on Mauricio’s desk and he told her Armando brought
it in. She told Mauricio that Armando is interested in the female population in the
office. Armando told her that if she wants to talk about him then, she should do it in his
face. They were about to argue when Mauricio told them now was not a good time as he was
really angry. Enriqueta told him that Juana is a very brave girl because she faces
everyone at the office who blamed her for her pregnancy very calmly. A weak man would go
to a corner to sit and cry but not our Juana. Popeye and the gang came in to ask his
permission to write the true story about Juana. Mauricio asks them how they could do this
to their own colleague. He exploded and started yelling at them. He told them it was a
stupid idea when they said that they would have the hottest news in Caracas. They were
hurt and surprised. They thought he would be very happy with their big story. Enriqueta
and Armando asked them to continue doing their job and to come back later when he is more
calmed. He told Armando and Enriqueta that it is ridiculous to write about Juana.
Enriqueta asks him what he is going to do with her, whether he was going to fire Juana. He
told her there is no reason to fire her. She’s satisfied and goes back to her office.
Armando left the paper with Mauricio on his way out. Mauricio thought to himself why Juana’s
situation is getting more out of hand. He looked at his screen saver which shows
Starfield, which makes him think about Juana. He told himself that he should tell her that
truth about her baby’s father. While he looked at the screen saver, he asked himself
what the stars wants him to do. Carlota came in and showed him the paper and asked whether
he’d seen it. Carlota told him she was jealous of Juana’s pregnancy but thank
God it wasn’t his. To that he looked a little nervous. She told him this is weird
because when she went to see Father Jose, he told her Juana was giving up her baby for
adoption. He looked stunned for a few seconds. He couldn’t believe it. Juana is going
to give his one and only child to someone else. Then he remembered what she told him about
the accident of her pregnancy and all she wants was her life back. He told his wife to get
the baby for adoption. She told him what are they going to do with Rafael? He is not a
t.v. that can be turned on and off. But Mauricio was adamant about the issue of the
adoption of the baby. So Carlota gave in and told him she’ll ask Father Jose whether
she can still get the baby for adoption. But she didn’t look too happy with the
situation she’s in. Carlota told him they can’t help all the people who needed
help or they would be taken advantage of. He asked her then why did she become a member of
the Pink Ladies Charity Organization. He looked uncomfortable and edgy and she asked him
if he was hiding something from her. He told her he doesn’t know how to tell her.
Carlota went behind his chair and hugged him and told him they hadn’t eaten lunch
together in a long time. At home they are never alone what with Tania, Desiree and Rafael.
Mauricio gave in and they went out to have lunch.
JUANA’S HOUSE: Nicolas came in and told Azusena that there are a lot of people
outside her house, including reporters. He also showed her the newspaper. Nicolas told the
grandma that he knew the reporter because he was questioned by the reporter the day before
and was given his business card. Grandma told Manuel that she felt pity for her Juana.
There was a knock on the door and came in the shop owner named Paco who has a crush on
grandma Azusena. He told her he was there in case they needed help. Not that he could have
given any as old as he is. (very touching ) He told them those people outside have no
respect for anyone. He also told her of the neighborhood gossipers, Lorenza and
Marigualida was also there and was seen answering questions from the reporters. Manuel
tried to contact Juana but was told that she was out taking pictures. Manuel looked out
the window and saw Petra and asked her to come in from the back fence. She told them about
the situation outside. Grandma told her, her mother Lorenza was in the front lines and
telling all she was worth to the reporters who listen to her every word. Petra told Manuel
she will ask for something in return for her help. Ana arrived and was surprised and
terrified to see a crowd in front of her. She thought that something might have happened
to someone. Lorenza yelled that that is the mother of the virgin. The reporters saw her
and rushed to her to ask questions. Manuel and Petra protected Ana from the crowd and
grandma looked through the window and asked Paco to open the door when Ana and escort
arrived at the front door. Grandma blamed Ana for spreading the circular about her
daughter’s virginity.
LOUNGE: Brandy was preparing herself a cup of coffee when Alfredo’s secretary entered
the room. Brandy told her that she would get nothing out of her about Juana and the girl
told Brandy that she’s not there to get information for the gang as she respect the
stand Brandy took and stands by her friend when she was needed most. And Brandy gave her,
her birthday presents because it was the secretary’s birthday. Later she went to see
that gang and told them she will not let them ruin her birthday and they are having a
party after work. This is when Carlota arrives at the scene and asked them if this is the
way they work by sitting around doing nothing. Then she saw the paper and take a look at
it and wave it in her hand by saying who would have thought that this girl could be
pregnant.
RESTAURANT: Ana was riding on a motorbike with Carlos, her trainer and seems to be having
the time of her life. He told her that as she likes bike rides, it is a sign that they
could have future dates together. He told her he likes woman who takes risks. He holds her
hand before entering the restaurant. She thought to herself that holding hands might mean
something and she was ecstatic. She feels like a teenager again. Juana arrived at the
restaurant where her mother was eating with her date to take some pictures for the
magazine. She told herself to forget what happened at the office and concentrate on what
she is doing now. She’s still incredulous that Mauricio believes her and told herself
to finish what she’s doing without wasting any time. Ana told him that she’s
very happy today he makes her laugh a lot. He told her that he is a very bad boy and she
should be careful. She laughs and told him he’s not bad and she could tell this
because he’s been making her laugh since they got there. Ana was having the time of
her life. She told him that there is something wrong with her family. She lives with her
mother, brother, and daughter. After they finished he asked her if he asked her to go out
again, what would her answer be? She told him yes. Just seconds after they went away,
Juana also came out. Missed them by a matter if seconds. Carlos brought her back to the
Bario but she wouldn’t tell him where she lives. She told him ‘you wouldn’t
want any trouble from my brother do you?’ he shakes his head. When Carlos’s
gone, she talked to herself that he would die if her mother sees him. It seems as if our
Ana is falling for the wrong man all over again. She doesn’t seem to have learned
anything from her last relationship. The good and kind Salvador is waiting for while she
went looking for a toy boy.
RESTAURANT 2: Mauricio was distracted and Carlota noticed, she asked him what happened.
When he wouldn’t answer, she told him to look behind him to a pair of woman reading
the paper about Juana. She told him she didn’t believe that she is still a virgin
because any teenager these days can get pregnant easily. Mauricio told her he believes
Juana and she asked if he talked to a teenager like Juana about these things and she would
be angry if he does. He told her not to be ridiculous and he believes Juana because she’s
a good girl and doesn’t lie.
POLICE STATION: Salvador was beside himself thinking how Ana must be feeling when she saw
the article. He was very angry at the irresponsible reporter who wrote the story on Juana.
Then came in his deputy and told him that it was he took it upon himself to inform the
reporter named Vidal about Juana and the reporter took all the credit without mentioning
his name. Salvador exploded and yelled at the deputy and asked him if he took money for
the exclusive story. He told Salvador he didn’t take any money. Salvador looks as if
he’s ready to tear into someone. He asked his deputy how he could do this to a family
who has suffered a lot already.
HOSPITAL: on her way home Juana bumped into Mickey (her ex-boyfriend who betrayed her),
and he told her that her best friend’s mother is in the hospital because of a heart
attack. Juana arrived and lily was crying and a few friends were there to give her moral
support. Lily told Juana what happened and she blamed herself for her mother’s
condition. She told Juana that after her mother made Juana get out of the house and told
her not to come and see her daughter ever again, lily has been fighting with her mother
even about the smallest of things. She told her that she is the only one her mother has
after her father left them. She don’t know what she would do if something happened to
her mother. Juana told her everything would be fine. She tried to distract lily’s
attention from her worries by talking about Mauricio and what a handsome and one of a kind
he is and how he made her feel.
