MAURICIO’S OFFICE: Juana told him that after she knew about her pregnancy, she was not ashamed of anyone knowing, even her grandmother but to her he’s different. She really cares about what he thinks of her. There is a need for her to explain to him what happened. She wants to stay innocent and dignified and honorable in his eyes. She told him that a few months ago she went to see a gynaecologist for an exam for hormone imbalance. Her mother brought her to a private clinic specializing in gynaecology. There were a lot of women there at the clinic and she was supposed to see Dr. Pesate for her exam. A nurse accompanied her and another woman to their respective doctors. While on their way, the nurse bumped into another nurse, and their files were accidentally switched. Dr. Pesate was supposed to see her but because of an emergency, he refers her to another doctor. The new doctor doesn’t ask her anything and doesn’t explain the procedures to her as she asked him not to because this was the first time she had a physical exam, therefore she was quite shy. She doesn’t know what a physical exam entailed and so was not aware that an artificial insemination had been done on her. A few months later, she found out that she was pregnant. She asked him ‘you don’t believe what I’m telling you now do you?.’ He walked towards her slowly and looked into her eyes and told her of course he believes her. She was so pleasantly surprised by his acceptance of her explanation that she spontaneously hugged him. Then when she realized what she did she asked for his forgiveness. She told him this is the first time anyone has trusted her explanation without question. Mauricio told her he knows what she went through. I’ll tell you something about me. Do you know that I nearly died of cancer? The treatment for cancer is radiation and chemotherapy. There are side effects, one of which is he became infertile. He told her he had to go to a fertilization clinic and saved his in a sperm bank. Ironic that he wanted a child and couldn’t get, while she doesn’t want a child and she got one. He told her there is no way he could ever get a child of his own because there was an accident with the sperm bank and the container was leaking nitrogen and as the container warmed up, the sperm samples died. He told her what happened to her was very sad and that is the reason he told her about himself. And he walked to his chair. He told her this is very significant that he could not get a child and therefore he thinks about the father of her baby. He asked her if she knows who the father of her baby is. Juana was suddenly on her feet. She wants to know what she means by what he said. He told her he will help her look for the father of her baby. She looked stunned. She told him she doesn’t want to know who the father is. It happened to her and it is her pregnancy and he has nothing to do with it because it was an accident. There is no love lost between her and the father of her baby. They didn’t share any dreams for their child or love. She told him if there is no shared love and dreams between two people, then both of them will be miserable. She would not believe him if the father told her he loves her or her child. Mauricio asked her if she believes that destiny has a way of bringing two people together. She told him she doesn’t believe in it. Her life was shredded to pieces when she found out she was pregnant. Everything she worked hard for; her scholarship, her grades all went down the drain. She has worked very hard for a long time to reach this stage and everything was taken from her. He asked her how about the child? She told him at first, she did thought about abortion as an escape but later, after much thinking, she decided to have this child because the baby is innocent and should not be blamed. He told her the baby might want to know who the father is when he is old enough; she told him she’ll deal with it when the time comes. He asked her what happened to her. Doesn’t she want to know who the father is? She said the pregnancy was an accident and a mistake and it was not planned. Therefore there is no need to meet the man. He asked ‘can’t I convince you to change your mind?’ she said definitively ‘no’. But I feel as if the man is close to me which was weird. She told him she was waiting for true love and a man to share it with. But now, all she can do is take care of her child and it would have to be enough. She told him you want a child but I got it without asking for it. She told him she’s determined to go on with her life. She also wants to know if she’s fired. He told her there is no reason to fire her. She looked relieved. But before she exits, she told him to rethink his decision to employ her because the others will gossip about them if he accepts her in her condition. There was a phone call from Miami and so Juana left. And this time she left his hanky on his table. On her way out Ines reminded her of her appointment with Enriqueta. Juana told her she would see her after she freshens herself up because her eyes were red from crying.
After Juana went out Ines made a call and reported the state Juana was in to her gang. She said Juana looked like Mary Magdalena and she was crying which might mean that she was fired. After the phone call, Mauricio wonders aloud whether their child would have green eyes just like Juana. Then he said he should have told her he is the father of her baby. But he is afraid because Juana threatened to disappear if he looked for the baby’s father (Mauricio). Then he called himself a coward. Then Desiree came in and asked for permission to go home early. Mauricio reminded himself to be careful of Rogelio because he might be trying to influence Desiree to vote against Mauricio in the upcoming shareholder’s meeting. Armando came in holding the newspaper and showed it to Mauricio. Then he told him she must be real good to be able to hide it for so long. When Mauricio defended her, Armando looked surprised that Mauricio is willing to overlook her condition. When he wonders about the father of her child, marricio was angry which made Armando to ask if Mauricio has anything to do with it.

OUTSIDE MAURICIO’S OFFICE: Ines showed Brandy the newspaper.

ALFREDO’S OFFICE: Rogelio tried to kiss Desiree while she tried to move away from him. She was angry with his treatment of her. He told her he likes it when she is angry. She told him to try to understand her and he replied he understood her all right she wants to play around with him until he’s so twisted inside and crazy for the love of her and entices him until she gets what she want. He told her he knew all about the games she played. He asked her ‘what do you think I am?.’ I know all your female tactics. He told her he can be very nice when he wants and very cruel when the situation warranted. So she better be careful. He told her he asked his lawyer to get him Fransico’s (Desiree’s missing husband) shares in the company which will left her penniless. She thinks quickly and told him there is no need to do that as she is attracted to him and she was only acting so that Carlota his daughter who also happens to be her best friend doesn’t suspect anything. He holds her face in his palm and called her his princess. (oh, Peleeeease.!) He looks contented with her explanation for now. When they came out, Alfredo said I thought you two would never get out of my office. To which Desiree turned to Rogelio and thanked him for his tips on public relations. Alfredo told his father as he is finished with her, now it’s time for them to have a little talk. He told his father that after seeing him lusting after Desiree, he think there is a high probability that Rogelio is somehow involved in the disappearance of Fransico. Rogelio told his son he is very sad that his son would think him capable of such a thing because he loves and respect his son very much. His son told him he would have his respect as long as he is rational in his thinking and will not affect Alfredo’s shares given to him (Alfredo) by his grandfather because he was afraid Desiree would manipulate Rogelio and take it from him. Later he called Carlota to ask about how she put Juana on the front cover in a paper. Carlota has no idea what he’s talking about and asked him to explain in detail.

MAURICIO’S HOME: Carlota told her mother that she has a brilliant idea how to make Juana miserable. Amparito asked her what her plan was. Carlota told her she would ask Juana to take pictures at the welcome party she is doing for Rafael (adopted son). The pictures would be of her, Mauricio and their son Rafael.

ENRIQUETA’S OFFICE: She sits by herself and smiles. She says to herself, she’s never met anyone like Manolito. Then she told herself to forget it because he’s Juana’s uncle. When Juana followed her, she lectures her about the lies man tells the women to get what they want, and she should work harder from now on. Juana told her she was going to tell her about her pregnancy when the probation time is up. And she promised to do her best.

PHOTOGRAPHY ROOM: Brandy came in to see how Juana was doing but couldn’t find her. Juana told Brandy she’s not fired and she’s determined to give her best.

FEMALE RESTROOM: Juana looked at herself in the mirror and asked herself why she was crying. She said to herself she already know there can never be any relationship between her and Mauricio. Brandy found her and they hugged. Juana told her that Mauricio didn’t react like everyone as if he already knew everything. He didn’t ask any question. Accept everything she says just like her uncle Manolito.

LOUNGE: David sits by himself and blames Juana for the sensational news she was making at the office. The rest of the gang sits around the sofa and discusses Juana’s condition. They don’t think she’s a virgin and she lied to them. When Enriqueta came in they showed the article to her. When Juana comes back from the ladies’ room, they looked at her with accusation. Enriqueta asks Juana to follow her into her office. Later the rest of the gang including Alfredo convinced Popeye to asks Mauricio’s permission to write an article about her in their magazine.

AT HE GYM: David’s roommate who is a trainer tried to chat with Ana Maria by praising her on her stamina and asking her out for a drink.

JUANA’S HOME: Manuel came back and says to himself what an incredible woman Enriqueta is, who kisses him one and then ignores him the next.

RECEPTION AREA: Juana was on her way out and told the receptionist that if anyone called her to tell them she’s out taking pictures. David was standing near the door and he gave her the cold shoulder and she went out as if she doesn’t have a care in the world.
