JUANA’S HOUSE:
Juana doesn’t like it that her uncle is accompanying her to the office because she
told him that she is old enough at 17 years of age and knows what she is doing. She feels
embarrassed because her friends might think that she needs a nanny or guardian to take
care of her. Her mother came down and asked for an explanation why she is going back to
work for Mauricio. Juana told her she doesn’t have time to explain it to her as she
is already late for work. Her mother demanded Juana explains to her before she left. Her
uncle covers for her by saying they are late and rushed her out of the house. Ana Maria is
not satisfied and asks her mother if she (grandma) knew something Ana Maria doesn’t.
Grandma asks her in return what do you think a married man is doing in our house? Ana was
surprised that Mauricio came to their house yesterday when they weren’t in. Grandma
told her, when she returned to the house yesterday, she saw Mauricio got into his car and
did not greet her. (she didn’t think that he might not have seen her.) Ana said in
defense of her daughter that if Juana said nothing happened, then nothing happened. Ana
also said that Juana is nothing like her. Grandma said as always, tio Manolito is
protecting Juana. She also said she is smart, what does Ana think happened between Juana
and Mauricio before Manolito arrived yesterday. Ana did not reply.
MAURICIO’S HOUSE: When he prepared to go to the office, Desiree is waiting. Tanya
(maid) asked him if he would like to have breakfast, he declined and ready to go to his
office when Desiree tags herself along without taking her breakfast as well. ( she is
really annoying :-S )
AT THE PARKING LOT: Manolito was surprised to find that Juana parked her Pitusa anywhere
she wants without parking it in the parking lot. She told him that it cost a lot to park
in the parking lot as he later found out when he parked it for her. On his way to the
office after parking, a gust of wind blows his parking ticket and was picked up by
Enriqueta. She told him to take good care of it because he will have to pay extra if he
lost it. He said to himself that trying to win her heart would be difficult but not
impossible. She entered the lift and just before the doors closed, Manolito entered and
something dropped from his pocket. Enriqueta picked it up and told him that she wasn’t
born to pick things up for him. He told her what a shame. She looked piqued. She also told
him that after this she won’t be seeing him and she was about to give him a piece of
her mind when the lift stopped suddenly and the lights go out for a while. She was really
frightened and Manuel tried to calm her and told her everything would be fine but she didn’t
believe him. She was terrified when she pushed the alarm button and there was no sound.
She asked him if anyone out there noticed that they are stuck inside. She said she didn’t
want to die like this. She couldn’t take it that he would be the last person she sees
before she takes her last breath. She said she‘s always been strong and now look at
her, she was so scared. Manuel tried to calm her by saying they are not going to die and
she should calm herself and they will be rescued soon. She talked to the mic and someone
answered on the other side, she told him to fix it quickly because they are loosing air.
She told Manuel she has to say that to make sure they were rescued quickly. Armando was
about to enter the building when he saw the rescue unit arrived and wondered what
happened. In the lift, Enriqueta could not deal with the situation and started crying,
Manuel offered her his handkerchief. (a real gentleman that he is) She said she was very
strict in her day to day dealings and she should not be living a life like that. She told
him if she passed out, he would have to revive her by breathing into her mouth.
(Administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) ( I think NTV 7 censored the kissing part)
Suddenly the lift jerked and she hugged Manuel tightly. Popeye said that there is a rumor
that a couple is stuck in the elevator. When the rescue squad finally opened the door,
Manuel was hugging Enriqueta . Armando looked surprised at seeing her in the arms of
another man. Both of them (Enriqueta & Manuel) were embarrassed and try to act as if
there is nothing wrong. Enriqueta said that she is fine when Armando put a possessive hand
on her and drag her apart from the crowd to ask how she’s doing. Manuel seconded her
and said she held her own. Popeye would like to know who is the gentleman who hugs their
commander is. Manuel introduced himself as Juana’s uncle. Armando didn’t look
too happy.
MAURICIO’S OFFICE: The cuartel arrived and Shiva shows Brandy the picture of a man
she met in a chat and Brandy told her the photo was doctored and that each part of the
body was taken from a different man and manipulated to look that good. But Shiva didn’t
agree. La Bibi entered wearing shades and told them she got a headache from partying last
night and Brandy made her a cup of strong coffee. Juana entered the office and was greeted
by a surprised Nora (receptionist) who thought she was no longer working there. Juana told
her it is not so. Brandy was also surprised to see her and start asking questions. Brandy
advised her not to come back because even if Mauricio can stay away from Juana, she still
has feelings for him. Juana does not want to listen and told Brandy Manuel is accompanying
her and they went to look for him. David entered the lounge and Shiva and La Bibi stopped
their gossip and when asked, told him that Juana is back. He was surprised. Juana and
Brandy asked Nora if she’d seen Manolito and Brandy describes him in detail. Alfredo
comes in and asks to see Juana about her parents’ letter so that she could continue
working there and told her of the company’s policy on women who gets pregnant before
they were taken as a permanent employee and asks her to do a blood test if she wants to
continue working there. In Mauricio’s office Desiree is not happy with the cold
shoulder Mauricio is giving her because he didn’t talk to her on their way to the
office. She told him he should know better than to think that she would get involved with
Rogelio. He told her he knew nothing of the sort and knows her only as his friends’
wife and his wife’s friend. Before she could explain her meaning Rogelio entered and
start asking questions about what he planned to do to convince the share holders that his
method will work. Mauricio didn’t say anything. Desiree left and Rogelio asked
Mauricio if he is interested in her. Mauricio told him that after marrying his daughter,
no other women interests him and whatever business Rogelio has with Desiree is none of his
business. Enriqueta is in her room angry at herself for how she acted in the lift and what
happened with Manuel when he kissed her. She told herself she is not the kind of woman to
act so rashly and then think about Manuel. Then she remembered that Brandy knows him and
she can ask her about him. Then she thought that he might be her boyfriend and got angry
allover again. Suddenly there is a knock on her door and enters Armando who is angry at
her for the way she acted in the lift. He told her she is not that kind of woman but one
who has respect, dignity etc. she told him he has no right to say anything to her. David
ask Nora about the people who are stuck in the lift and borrow the newspaper from her and
when he saw the picture and article, he couldn’t believe it at first but then he got
angry and think that Juana is lying to all of them. When Juana came to Popeye to ask if he’s
seen her uncle, David was there and he dragged her for a confrontation.
