| At the hospital:
Humberto was scolded by his father about what had happened as he told them
not to over react. Amparito requested her son to be on their side & to
be sympathized with Carlota. At the other end, Mauricio was talking to
Aunt Eva about Carlota & the accident. She tried to calm him down
& told him that it was not his fault. The doctor came out from
Carlota’s room & they all rushed to ask what the latest update is.
Sadly he informed them about the bad news; Carlota’s head was knocked
pretty badly. They were all silent but worried face was shown all over
their faces. At David’s apartment: David was listening to what Juana had to say to him. She was crying & poured all her heart out to him. Like a sweet love poem being read, David comforts her by telling how he loved, cared & how special she is to him. Juana was touched to hear David’s confession. She told him that her wound would not heal as Mauricio had killed the real Juana. What David is looking at right now is not Juana that he used to know. David cried hearing what she had said. At the hospital: Rogelio explained to Alfredo about his anger towards Mauricio. Alfredo & Rogelio was talking while looking at Mauricio sitting & feeling restless. Rogelio told his son that Mauricio is good at acting as if he had done nothing wrong. Alfredo said that maybe there’s a blessing in disguise & Mauricio is really worried & cares for Carlota. Rogelio didn’t agree with him. Alfredo asked him what he’s going to do about it… Perez house: The party had started but Juana was still no where to be seen. At one corner, Enriqueta chatted with Manuel. Azucena came out from the kitchen looking pretty nice & rosy with her stylish hairdo. Her face was all bright up while carrying the food for her guest. The door bell to their house had rung & Azucena opened to see Ramon & Maria coming in smiling. Manuel heard Ramon’s voice & he purposely didn’t turn his head while Enriqueta looked at his dad. On the other hand, Azucena was worried. At the hospital: Alfredo reminded his dad about Francisco death which he knew about it & that the case is still opened. Mauricio had made a police report & the police are still investigating. Rogelio was astonished to know that Alfredo knew he had killed Francisco. Perez house: Ramon hugged A.Maria tightly & she quickly introduces Enriqueta to her dad. They both shake hands while Manuel didn’t even bother to look or noticed him. At David’s apartment: David asked Juana to sip the herbal tea slowly & suddenly Juana’s hand phone rang. They both looked at each other. David decided to pick it up & it was A.Maria. David handed the phone to Juana… A.Maria requested her to get home fast as the party had started. She told her mom that she’ll be home soon. Perez house: Azucena told Manuel about her uneasiness of Ramon’s presence. Manuel agreed with her while Enriqueta listened to their complaint. At David’s apartment: Juana told David… she doesn’t know how she’s going to go back with her red & swollen eyes. It’s going to be hard for her to pretend that nothing had happened to her family. David recommended & helped her use eye drops to smooth her eyes. David offered himself to accompany her to go back. Juana’s glad to see David is always in helping hand to help her. They both hugged each other. At the hospital: Mauricio told Aunt Eva that he had planed to see Juana at her cabin early that morning to celebrate her birthday. Their conversation stopped as the doctor got out from Carlota’s room. He asked him for Carlota’s condition… he said that Carlota is still in a coma. He was allowed to go in to see his wife. As he entered the room, Mauricio saw Carlota, hooked to a life support machine & tubes were all over her. He was not ready to see her in that condition as regret came to him suddenly. He sat down & with a sad sullen face; he told his wife that he is so sorry of what had happened & seeks her forgiveness. Carlota lay motionless on the bed, only the sound of a machine is heard in that room. Outside the room: Salvador came & spoke to Aunt Eva. He told her that he was at the scene when the accident had happened. Perez house: In the living room, Ramon explained his niece about his family & showed that they were not happy of his presence. At the other corner, Enriqueta thought to herself as to why Juana is still not back yet. What is keeping her so long? Finally, Juana & David arrived & were greeted by her friends. Juana tried to be happy, instead, had shown a sad face to them. She thanked them for coming. She told them that she needs to change her cloth & excused herself. Azucena sensed that something is wrong with Juana. Juana went upstairs to her room & started to cry suddenly. She remembered a few scenes where Mauricio had shown his concern towards her baby. She told herself that Mauricio is a liar, only cares for the baby & not her. She continued to cry alone on the bed. Downstairs: In the living room, A.Maria reassured Ramon about Juana’s peculiar behavior. She told him not to worry. Doorbell rings… it was Paco their friendly neighbor, came in with a present. Azucena was glad to see him, she happily chatted with him while purposely walked in front of Ramon. A.Maria was upset to see her mother’s vengeance. Manuel greeted Paco warmly. At the hospital: Amparito screamed her dissatisfaction towards Mauricio while Humberto tried to calm her. Perez house: Upstairs in Juana’s room, A.Maria was surprised to see the light was switched off & Juana lying on the bed. She asked her what was wrong as Juana wiped her tears quickly. She told her that she should be happy on her birthday. She eventually cried to her openly as she informed that she doesn’t want to get older. At the hospital: Amparito was furious with Mauricio, continued to shout & swears at him that if anything happened to her daughter, he’ll have to get ready. Salvador also got shouted at as he told her that Juana & her family came from a good background. A nurse came out & asked Amparito whether she is Juana as Rafael had called the name out. She was surprised. Rogelio’s apartment: Desiree with her night gown came out from her room & asked Rogelio what had happened as his face had shown like he was in trouble. He told her that Carlota had met an accident. Perez house: Upstairs in Juana’s room, Juana was crying while A.Maria hugged her closely. She kept on telling ‘por que’/‘why’ (so many times) must people play with other people’s heart … & so on & so on to her mother. She was confused to see her daughter in that sorry state. She asked why & what had happened to her. Rogelio’s apartment: Desiree listened to Rogelio as he informed about the accident, Mauricio & Carlota’s condition. Tears were seen swelling on Rogelio’s eyes. Desiree on the other hand, told to herself that, she’s so happy to know the bad news. Perez house: In the living room, David was approached by Enriqueta. She asked him what was wrong with Juana. She assumed that Mauricio had met Juana at the cabin & had told her everything. David with his angry face told her that Mauricio had stood her up. While in the kitchen, Ramon talked to Manuel seeking his forgiveness but Manuel told him that he does not care for him anymore & rudely left him behind. Ramon felt hurt by his words. Maria approached Lili & warned her about not leaking out the information about Ramon’s deteriorating health to anybody. At the hospital: Mauricio met Rafael. He asked about Juana’s party. Mauricio listened as he mentioned that Carlota had put blame on Juana for their entire problem. He corrected him, told him to rest & gets his sleep. Mauricio said to Aunt Eva… he needs to see Juana to explain everything… Aunt Eva agreed with his decision. Rogelio’s apartment: Desiree continued to suggest Rogelio about making Carlota to divorce Mauricio. He disagreed & told her that he wants to make Mauricio bankrupt & she has to help him. Perez house: Juana came down with her changed cloth but showed no happiness on her face. Brandy saw Juana’s sad condition sensing something was wrong with her. Rogelio’s apartment: Rogelio repeated his request to help him out & threatened her if she refuses. She got worried & disagreed with him. He said that he loves her so much but at the same time could hurt her badly if she goes against his will. He could make her stay to be a living nightmare. At the hospital: Amparito was seen sitting in front of Carlota’s bed. She cried seeing her daughter’s lying motionless. She swears to herself that they will pay for what had happened. Aunt Eva prayed silently as to make sure that Carlota gets better & things will be calm. Perez house: In the living room, Juana sat & thanked to her guest for their presents. Manuel was beside Juana but ran away as Ramon got closer to wish Juana. Azucena came out with a colorful cake. She quickly told A.Maria that this is the right time to blow the candle as Juana is showing her sad face to everybody. Juana’s tears came rolling down from her cheeks, half happy & half devastated for what she had knew. Outside Perez house: Mauricio arrived & got out from a taxi. Paid the guy & looked at Perez’s house. A.Maria & Brandy lights the candles while everybody gathered around in semi circle. Brandy request to switch the lights off. Manuel is seen hugging Enriqueta closely. Paco watched from the side. Petrica was there too as she had came uninvited. Azucena was about to give the green light for everybody to sing the birthday song but paused as her door bell rang instantly. Micky went to open the door. With his normal cute face, Mauricio came in slowly in the dark to join the crowd. Ramon, Maria & A.Maria looked beside them & was surprised. Micky got back to his place & grabbed his guitar, continue to start the tune. With the lights switched off, Juana took a quick glance as to who had came late… her mouth slightly opened when he saw Mauricio looking at her giving that sweet innocent face. 'sólo a tu lado quiero vivir ... sin ti mi cielo se vuelve gris ...dime que hacer si no estás aqui...' I Feeeel Gooood ... To Be Continued on Tuesday, 8th July 2003 |
