The Review:


I'll be honest. I'm a bit prejudiced against The Wanderers' Music. It's not that i hate it, but when you consider how the OVA music is usually very grand and inspiring, Wanderers went in the direction of being cute(Much the same way the Tenchi Universe Soundtrack differs from the Tenchi OVA Soundtrack.) Now there are a few pieces here that i really enjoy, most notably the first opening theme "ILLUSION." This is a great song and it usually has found itself onto "Best of Anime" or "Best of '96" compilation cd's(with just cause.) However, if you're looking for teh tragic melodies of Ifurita or the dramtic peices of the Eye of God, you won't find it here... However, if you were one of those rare people who enjoyed Wanderers over the OVA's or have only seen Wanderers, then you should enjoy this compilation.

Why Get It?


Well, as I said before, I'm not a huge fan of Wanderers or its Music. However, this compilation has 31 tracks! God bless those Americans. What they lack in adding Dramas or other cool Japanese bonuses, they make up for in sheer Quantity. The Japanese OST's don't even come close in the number of tracks for BOTH CD's than on this one CD. So if you're gonna get this soundtrack, this is the CD to get.
