Chapter 2

I cant believe she just did that. That was great! Youji said through laughter, Omi, shes definitely a keeper. Were did you find her?
I bumped into her on the way to school. She had forgotten her umbrella and looked like a drowned rat. WowShe really got you Ken.
OhShut up! It wasnt that funny.
Actually, it kind of was. Aya commented from behind the counter with a small grin.
OkayHave you guys officially insane? a tall red head said from the door, Do I need to tell Persia that you guys are out of commision?
WellIf were insane, you must just as bad for hanging out with a guy like me. Youji walked over to her and put his arm around her shoulder. She just rolled her eyes and walked towards Ken, who still looked steamed.
    Whats with him? she asked.
OhHes just upset because a girl bested him at his own game. Omi answered, Umm...No offense, Manx, but what are you doing here?
    Another mission. She replied, calmly.
Omi. Ken. Close up the shop. Aya told them as he headed for the back room.
The next morning:
I cant believe Im running late again. I guess Ill have to give this back to Omi after school. Why do I always forget to set my alarm?Right as I got in the door, the first bell rang. Phew! That was close.
Okami! You made it this morning. Kyoko glomped me from behind. I think she remember what happened yesterday, so she immediately let me go. I think shes beginning to get her memory back. This could be a good thing or a bad thing.
Hey Kyoko. Lets get to class. I dont need another detention.
At lunch, we were just talking about random things when Kyoko suggested we all go to the arcade today since I didnt get to go the day before.
WellI actually cant. I have an errand to run. You guys can always go without me.
What do you have to do? Maybe we can help. Mitsuri offered.
No, thats okay. It would be really boring for you guys. Plus, its not that important.
WellCan you skip it, then? Kyoko asked.
Not really. Look you guys just go without me. With any luck, I wont get detention tomorrow, then I can go with you guys, okay?
How about we come with you to help you and then we go to the arcade? Yuri asked.
That sounds logical to me. Well do that. So, what is it that you have to do? Mitsuri asked.
WellI have to return this umbrella to a guy who let me borrow it yesterday. I could see the gleam in Yuris eyes begin to form.
A guy, huh? So, whats his name? Do we know him?
Probably not. He seems to be a loner or something. And, Mitsuri, dont even think about it. There is nothing between us. He was just being nice to an idiot who has a tendency to forget things.
Hey! I would never think anything like that. She replied with mock indignity, And youre right. You are an idiot. They all laughed and I stuck my tongue out.
Just dont try anything, okay? I really think this guy could be a good friend. Actually, he might be perfect for Yuri over there.
No way! Im not looking for a boyfriend. So dont even try it. Yuri said over the top of her book. This girl reads way too much. We need to get her a guy and soon.
After school, we all met up and set out for the floral shop. It wasnt that far from the school; and when we got there, I was totally surprised at the sight. There was a herd of girls outside that blocked off the whole sidewalk.
Well, this could be interesting to get through. Hmm..
Why are all these girls there? And why are they making so much noise? Kyoko asked with a very confused look on face.
My guess is that Okamis friend is very popular with the ladies. So, Okami, any suggestions? Mitsuri answered with remarkable accuracy.     The only thing I can think of is to shove or way through. Brace yourselves.
As we began to push our way through, I heard a voice that could only be Aya yelling at the girls to either buy something or get out. That Aya has got to learn to calm down. I finally got through the crowd with a stumble. Looking around, I realized that none of these girls were actually thinking about buying anything (A.N-except maybe one of the guysbad Mako-chan o_~). As I looked around, the rest of my group popped out of the crowd.     WowThat was crazy. Mitsuri looked a little ruffled. Yuris glasses were about to fall off her face and she had actually closed her book to get through the crowd. Kyoko actually looked like she had enjoyed the shove through these insane girls.
Are you here to buy? If youre not, Im gonna have to ask you to leave. I heard Aya say from the other side of the room.
OhIn that case, I guess you really dont umbrella back. Come on you guys. I started to walk away.
OhSorry Okami. Hey, Omi! Okamis here with your umbrella. He yelled into the back.
As he walked out, all the girls in the door started to call out his name. UmmYou guys want to come into the back room? He asked. We followed him to the back, amongst a lot of grumbling from the fan club. The back room had a large wooden table in the middle and some chairs scattered around it. There was an older lady sitting in one of them with a cat in her lap.
Sorry about the crowd and noise. I hope it wasnt to hard to get through. Omi apologized.
No. It wasnt too bad. I felt a poke in my ribs, probably by Mitsuri, Oh...Omi. These are my friends Mitsuri , Yuri, and Kyoko. They all said hi to him. Nice to meet you. Would you like something to drink? We heard Aya yelling in the background again. Omi looked really anxious.
ActuallyI was just returning this, and then we were going to get out of your hair. You seem really busy today. I answered as I gave him the umbrella.
Oh, okay. Maybe Ill see you guys at school or something.     Tell the others I said Hey. See you later. We said our goodbyes and headed for the door. All of a sudden, Ken came popping out of the crowd and ran straight into me.
OW!! I exclaimed as I fell on my butt, again. This has got to be a sign or something. Maybe I shouldnt hang around this place or these guys. I always seem to wind up on my butt. GeezYou really need to watch were youre going. I said as I rubbed my nose and stood up.
Are you alright? Im sorry. Sometimes its best to take them at a run. He answered with a smirk on his face.
I dont see anything funny in this buddy. I think you should learn to love your fan club. Right, girls? The was a roar of a definite yes, as they began to swarm Ken. I had to laugh at his expression of total hatred. Thats what you get for laughing at me. See you guys later. Lets get out of here before he gets free and strangles me. We took off and as we left I heard Omi and Youjis laughs over the rest of the mayhem, as well as Ayas roar of anger. I started laughing so hard as we ran off that Im pretty sure my friends thought I was totally insane. Once we got about a block away, we slowed down, and thats when I got it.
I cant believe you did that to him. He didnt deserve that. Mitsuri sounded really ticked off, Plus, we barely made it out alive.
Hey. He deserved every bit he got. He shouldnt have laughed at me. And I knew we would be fine as long as he was occupied. I was still laughing as we entered the arcade.
You just like being mean. I think you should go back and apologize.
What! No way! He needed a lesson in manners, and I just happened to be the one to give it to him. I defended. Whats with her?OhI know. You like him dont you? You wouldnt be defending him this much if you didnt.
No, I dont. A very unconvincing No, I think. I can use this. I just think it was mean. HeyWhy are you looking at me like that? Dont even think it.
Too late. I started laughing again.
You two need to stop arguing and come check this out. Yuris about to get the high score on Sailor V. Kyoko said over Mitsuris protests. We spent the rest of the afternoon goofing off. When I said goodbye, I knew that Mitsuri had forgiven me. I hope we stay best friends forever. Wellbetter get home before Mom freaks out.
