Des Esseintes is a side project of Magnus Sundstr�m, the compositional genius behind
rising CMI stars The Protagonist and the older project third EYE. While The Protagonist explores elegant neo-classical realms, des Esseintes provides a new outlet for Magnus' heavier industrial instincts, combining old ideas with new technology. The result is an existentialistic inferno of various musical trash and harsh rhythms. Already compared to certain acts on the German Hands and Ant-Zen labels, des Esseintes nevertheless shows the continuing influence of such old-school greats as Test Dept. and SPK. |
