NBO
NEWS
The
Original NBO is opting out from any involvement with the new imposter league,
NBO 2K7. They are two separate leagues. No rivalry. Nothing.
It never happened. The competition levels are too far apart to even be
considered competition and the Original NBO would like to go back to how it
used to be.
The
site has been updated with a new layout. The old layout was outdated, just due
to the fact that we only play tournaments and exhibition games now, instead of
actual seasons with actual teams. It will take a little bit to get everything
updated again, but it’s a process.
Injury
updates: Dr. Funk’s cast will be coming off Friday, after a long stint with a
broken wrist after retrieving a ball during NBO action; Bystander should be
ready for action after rolling his ankle in NBO action; Whitesmith’s sprained
ankle should be able to played on shortly
Created
Player is currently on hiatus as he has relocated somewhere in
All-Star
Weekend should be very soon; as soon as I can get it all organized.
Whallop’s
1-on-1 competition, the Hang Tough Challenge, is the newest hit with the NBO
and will fill the void of all the games not being played right now. He is
working through the WHOLE NBO.
Injury updates: Sorcerer is
slowly coming back from injury as he is doing daily workouts; Bystander’s ankle
should be okay by his next game after rolling it in his game with Lancelot vs.
Created Player and Big Jay
I am working on the site
slowly, trying to update it. But it takes a lot of time, time that I do not
have right now.
Season 6 should be ending
shortly...All-Star and Finals COMING UP!
Injury updates: Sorcerer is
still out with a knee injury, may need surgery; Whallop is out for a week with
a knee injury; A-Wall will miss some action due to an ankle injury sustained on
the court during his last game
All profiles have updated with
the most up-to-date stats THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN. The money amounts are accurate,
as of every game, however.
I have added a section for the
rulebook, if you see any rules not listed, contact me.
Teams
Mad Hatters, 25 to Life, and the combinations of Kooistra/Candy
Barton and Magic/Iceman and Dr. Funk have all been released from the league
after an incident occurred at the NBO court when the players of 25 to Life came
to play without informing the league and having anyone there to monitor DURING
school hours, bringing two other jabronis along with
them that have never been in the NBO or even at the house for that matter.
Injury
updates: Sorcerer is still out with a knee injury sustained a week ago while
running, expected to be out another couple of weeks and Jacob Christ is
able to return to action after cutting and busting his lip open in NBO action
last week.
Blacksmith
and Big Freeze have split up as The World; Big Freeze has picked up A-Wall and
Blacksmith has picked up First Aid.
Lots of stats have yet to be taken, so averages are not
accurate on the team profiles.
Skittles drops A-Wall as a teammate for
Jacob Christ after
A-Wall went AWOL.
The Italian Job makes their NBO debut
alongside Skittles and Jacob Christ this Sunday.
Jacob Christ should be able to return to
action any day now after his lip injury sustained in his game against The
Italian Job.
U-Hall and Whitesmith have been
indefinitely suspended until further notice after their fight in the Air Alert
vs. Punishers game.
February 19, 2006 –
The NBO site has gotten a new look after a couple
seasons of the look before this one. I hope you all enjoy this new layout.
Also, with the new layout, the NBO site has added new sections; like this one
(the NBO news section giving you up-to-date information about the league), NBO Blogs (where players can express their feelings about other
players or other topics related to the NBO), and the WNBO site after its long
hiatus has been put up for our female viewers after they get done looking at
the Punishers profile page.
The first official announcement of the
Whallop versus Jacob Christ game that has been talked about and SIGNED made the
website this afternoon after long deliberations and other contractual
obligations. This game will happen soon. It is for the right to wear the number
22 on their jersey --- the loser must never wear the number ever again in his
career. And, of course, PRIDE is on the line, like any other contest. There has
been some trash talking, and I am sure Whallop will be on NBO Blogs sooner rather than later.
The cold weather has slowed the NBO game schedule, let’s wish for some warmer weather so we can
deliver than guaranteed NBO action!
