NBO Rules

SCORING

Games are played 2-on-2 full-court to 100 by 1‘s, 2’s, 3’s, and 8’s, on 7.5’ rims with a mini-ball

1 pointer: any shot made inside of half-court.

2 pointer: any shot made between half-court and ¾ court.

3 pointer: any shot made between ¾ court and full-court.

8 pointer: the shot on the tip-off while in air.

Double-shots and double-dunks:

Any shot/dunk where the ball initially goes in the hoop and catches on the net to flip around back into the hoop again is worth double points for the shot taken.

Goal Tending

Only allowed as long as you do not intentionally touch the rim/net or put your hand up through the rim. Fixing the net by tying a knot in it to prevent double dunks is also illegal.

Breaks

End of 1st quarter (first team to 25 points)

Half-time (first team to 50 points)

End of 3rd quarter (first team to 75 points)

Switch Baskets at Half-Time

Games do not have to take breaks if all 4 players agree; the players can “play through” the breaks if wanted to.

Inbound

Must have at least one foot out of bounds.

Poles are In-Bounds

Official Scoring and Stat Keeping

The score at the end of the game outside determines the official winner.  The final (true) score is determined during stat keeping.
