DID YOU KNOW...
- ODOR
has began the game going to the same basket in
every game he’s ever played in.
- There
have only been two true NBO Finals games where both OFFICIAL teams played
each other; Season 2 and Season 5. In Season 1, Team USA (ODOR & Created Player)
played Tom Chambers & DAD (not a real team; the only remaining players
in the league, after ATM, Landlord, and Lancelot all quit the league). In
Season 3, ODOR took U-Hall’s spot in the NBO Finals after U-Hall got
injured the night before during a football game; it was originally
supposed to be Code Red (Created Player & Landlord) vs. ReMix (U-Hall
& Lancelot). In Season 4, Big Jay was MIA and first-time player Tron took his spot as he and Created Player took on
U-Hall and Landlord (Air Alert).
- There
have been three significant name changes in NBO history; ATM to Big Jay,
Doc Seuss to Jacob Christ, and The Professor to Bystander. Others have
changed their name, but not significantly (may have changed after their
first game or equivalent).
- Created
Player has played in every Finals game.
- ODOR,
Created Player, Lancelot, and Landlord are the only ones to have
participated in all 6 seasons.
- Two
players have made their NBO debut in the NBO Finals; DAD and Tron.
- Skittles
has never won a regular season game or All-Star Game, despite being in the
league since Season 2.
- Three
guys are undefeated in the All-Star Game; U-Hall is 3-0 (Seasons 2, 4,
& 5), Big Jay is 2-0 (Seasons 2 & 6), and Jacob Christ is 1-0
(Season 3).
- Shockingly,
Created Player has lost more All-Star Games than he has won, being 2-3.
Although, controversy has played its part in those losses (most notably:
score changes).
- While
Created Player has lost the most All-Star Games with 3, Skittles is the
only one to be at more than one All-Star Game and remain defeated (0-2).
Four others have gone defeated at the All-Star Game, but have only played
in one; Tom Chambers, Bus Driver, Goon, and Whitesmith.
- Whallop
has never been in the All-Star Game, although being qualified for it each
season he’s played. In Season 4, his rookie season, he was shunned out of
it by the powers that be to let more veterans in the game. In Season 5, he
was injured and was not able to compete. In Season 6, he was just ignored
for All-Star voting.
- Landlord
leads the league with most Slam Dunk titles with 3. ODOR has the other 2.
- Only
half of the All-Star Games have had only two members on each team. The
other three games have had subs available in 3-on-3, 5-on-3, and 3-on-2
competition.
- No
one has ever repeated as 2-Point Champion.
- Landlord
is the only one to repeat has 3-Point Champion with 2 titles under his
belt (Seasons 1 & 4).
- Every
season, the All-Star Game MVP and Slam Dunk Champion have been the same.
In Seasons 1 & 2, ODOR was the All-Star Game MVP and Slam Dunk
Champion, and in Seasons 3, 4, & 5, Landlord was the All-Star Game MVP
and Slam Dunk Champion. The slam dunk contest for Season 6 has not
happened yet, to make this statement live on, Big Jay would have to win
it.
- Due
to contrary belief, both Jacob Christ and Big Freeze HAVE won trophies.
Big Freeze was Season 2’s Defensive Player of the Season and Jacob Christ
was Season 3’s Most Improved Player.
- Only
four guys have won the NBO Championship; Landlord (4), Created Player (3),
U-Hall (2), ODOR (1).
- Although
being the Most Valuable Player three times in his career, Landlord has
never led his team in scoring.
- ODOR
is the tallest and youngest MVP ever in the NBO.
- Landlord
is the shortest MVP ever in the NBO.
- There
have only been four guys to ever win the MVP award; ODOR, Landlord, U-Hall,
and Lancelot.
- There
have been two teams to go undefeated; Team USA and Gamebreakers.
- Airball
was originally supposed to make his NBO debut in Season 1, but he ended up
being the extra guy when Team USA played Team Charlotte in one
of the later weeks. He ended up making his debut in Season 4.
