Is future shop a good place to buy computers?

Answer: No. Future shop is much too large and unspecialised to deliver a proper deal. Besides, their rebates make me angry. 100-200$ rebates are too dangerous. How would you like to buy your machine and then find out you had to send some blasted form off somewhere, and then not get your money back for months or at all!! I've had bad experiences with rebates.

What's the price dif between Macs vs PCs?

PCs are generally cheaper because they are slapped together but mostly because their parts are abundant. Apple spends more money on thier products to insure proper function.

Why exactly, are macs faster..and whats up with those iMac colours?

The Macintosh is not always faster than other brands. Operations like Integer are highly optimised on the Macintosh whereas Macs are in a tight race with some high-end Athlon-based PCs for 3D calculation speed.
As for the iMac's colours, some people like Indigo, some people like Lime, and some people like other colours. Why not give them the stylish computer that suits their d�cor?

The main reason was that they were packaging Internet Explorer with Windows which meant Netscape would be no longer needed. Internet Explorer was built right in. In fact, something incredibly stupid, is that Microsoft says its bringing the Internet to you, when in fact all the interface blunders lately make it feel like they're dumping YOU on the internet. IE is REALLY built in. Why doesn't Bill Gates give much money away to charity?

Is it easy to program for the mac? compared to the pc?

Its no more difficult to create programs for the Macintosh as opposed to the PC. Programming languages betwen the two, differ only slightly.
Using Apple's carefully layed out guide lines, it is actually easier to create an excellent interface for your program. The guide lines also include information that should be followed to help make your programs more crash-proof.
NOTE: Currently, Visual C++ is the worst comiler ever. Don't use it.
