Airlines Mechanic § Accountable for maintaining uninterrupted operation of three separate automated systems: a high-speed luggage sortation system, a pneumatic parts delivery system, and parts retrieval system. Systems were controlled by Symax and Allen Bradley logic controllers and monitored by separate custom Windows’ NT interfaces. Responsibilities included all aspects of the three systems; all mechanical, electrical, and networking components, ladder programming, and constant monitoring for system faults. 2/1989 To 5/1992 United

As shop supervisor, I was responsible for determining aircraft status, distributing work orders, training subordinates, inspecting completed jobs, ordering parts, tools, and hardware, and reporting to the Master Chief. As a crewmember, I was responsible for figuring weight and balance, aircraft inspections, refueling, and passenger briefing prior to each departure. Performed needed repairs when traveling. Expected to have thorough understanding of all systems and emergency procedures. Qualified on Grumman C-1 and C-2 carrier delivery aircraft and Sikorsky H-3 search and rescue helicopter.
