>>Story
Misao grew up with the Oniwabanshuu, a group of ninjas, in which her father was the leader. Her father died when she was little and left her in the care of Okina. He and the other members of the Oniwabanshuu raised her and taught her how to fight using their style.
That time Aoshi Shinomori was the leader of the Oniwabanshuu, but when he betrayed the group and left with its main members, Misao proclaimed herself the leader. Later she found out she had a crush on Aoshi . She travelled all over Japan looking for him, she wanted to know why he left her behind and, of course, to see him again.^^

>>First appearence
Her first appearance in the serie is in Ep. #34/ Book #9, when Kenshin was on his way to Kyoto to battle against Shishio.
Kenshin thought he heard a muffle sound in the woods and decided to investigate. He saw some thugs and a cloaked woman, who was willing to sell her body. But when the thugs gave her the money, she took off her cloak and they found out it was not the woman they expected. (Yes, yes it was Misao...^^) They started walking away say things like: "We mistaken that little girl with a sexy woman!". But she heard it and beat them painfully.

As Misao took the money from the thugs, Kenshin asked her to return them the money. She refused and tried to rob him, too. But his skills were far better than hers so she could't even touch him. Even though she didn't want, both returned the money to his owner, and Misao told Kenshin about Aoshi and the others. Kenshin knew all the Oniwabanshuu were dead and that Aoshi said it was his fault. He didn't want to tell her anything, because he didn't want to hurt her. But when Misao found out that he knew something about Aoshi and the others, and didn't want to tell her, she started following him on his way to Kyoto.

Few episodes before the end of the serie, Omasu and Okon(two females from the Oniwabanshuu), went to Tokyo and told Misao to come back to kyoto with them. At first Misao didn't want to go, but when they said that Aoshi was with them and he really wanted to see her, she changed her mind and went back to Kyoto with Okon and Omasu.
