Dating from around 1475-1525 A.D, the Irish Hand an a Half has a full tang contruction, High carbon Steel blade that is hammer forged and 3/16" thick that will flex 5" and return true. This sword is both light and fast. Scabbard is wood with stitched leather and chrome accents.
Pommel, Hilt and Cross Guard are highly polished steel and grip is hand stitched leather
The blade is 34 1/2" long with an overall length of 46" and end weight of 2.5lbs with a P.O.B. 6" from the hilt on the blade.
As you can plainly see, this can easily be used as a two handed sword. Whoever called this a hand and a half must be a giant.
