| History |
Hiroshige drew the Tenryu river, one of the three rapid streams in Japan.
Mitsuke used to be a center of this region before the medieval period. It was an ancient provincial capital of this region (kokufu), and Kokubun-ji or national provincial temple was also there in very old days. There are many signs of historical sites in this town.
