| I've had the pleasure of starting the first Sound of Music Fanfiction Archive! But who am I, you ask? I some of you might know me as Xia Mei Sying or Maria's Georg. Yes, I am half chinese! But I've never been there. I'm probabley more obsessed with The Sound of Music & Julie Andrews than most normal fans. I have been obsessed with The Sound of Music twice in my life! I am currently out of High School, and I just Graduated on the Grand Opening of this site! I spend most of my time editing my 300 websites, reading fanfiction, talking on SOM forums, watching SOM or creating Art. Let me tell you how this archive came into existance... I was on fanfiction.net looking for SOM fanfics, and all I got when the search came up was these parody-crossovers. Nothing serious, it was just taking the plot of SOM and fiting it to different characters. Most of them were not even finished. I desperiatly wanted to read some real SOM fanfiction with Romance, Suspense, with the real characters. I searched every search engine I could find, and all I found was nothing or the same stuff at fanfiction.net. So I gave up searching and I came up with a brillant idea. I decided that I would not wait for anyone, that I would write a serious SOM fanfiction. So, I began writing all excited about it and using every change I could to write it. I signed up on fanfiction.net and found the catigory "Sound of Music" it was totally empty. So I put a poem I had written for SOM and the first chapter of my SOM fanfiction up. After that I let everyone know about the fanfiction. I had hoped that others would be inspired and write too! I finally signed up at Vanessa's SOM forum and met a fellow SOM fan. I had posted a challenge page, and she had decided that she'd write too! She picked one of my challenges and began writing! IT's one GREAT fanfic, it goes by the name of Just One Night. After that more reviews came and more people started writing fanfiction! And then came the idea, that since there were more people interested in SOM fanfiction than just me, I decided to create this archive! And that's how it all began! ~ Xia Mei |
