BIOGRAPHY

I love makeup. It reminds me of kindergarten and the first time I played with watercolors. What fun - the colors, the textures, the mess!

I studied makeup, hair and special effects in Toronto, Canada in the early 90's. I am based both in Canada and the U.S. and I work internationally. Have bag, will travel!

I got my first big break with a photographer needing a makeup artist for a commercial gig. He generously gave me a chance and I've never looked back. I love what I do. I work in a lot of different mediums which makes it very exciting. No office politics, lots of creativity and team work. It's always something different and I am always meeting super people.

I speak a couple of languages - English, Cantonese and Taisan. I have been involved in other aspects behind the scenes. I have helped launch makeup lines and I am often asked to be part of the education circuit. I teach and write makeup curriculum and manage an Internet address for makeup chat. I write as a makeup expert for several publications and copy write for cosmetic and hair products.

Believe it or not, I am pretty decent with a computer. As my dad would say, I did have a "real" job before this! I've been part of the production team assisting art directors as well as propping and styling. I can't believe it's been almost 10 years!
