Sundae Sunsets
Humor, angst, fluff. PG.
Jak played by Itsumo. Tasha played by Cali.

Reds and oranges were painted across the skys canvas, gently they faded into dark purple and blue. Jak sighed and looked over at Tasha. She was beautiful like this, her face glowed with the sunsets array of colors and her short hair mixed in with the wind. "Tasha, arent you gonna eat your sundae?" He asked. This was a tradition for them, every Sunday they came here to sit on the dock and watch the sunset over the lake while eating sundaes. Its was the best way for Jak to relax and just let all the pain of that week out. He could almost watch it set with the sun.

Tasha turned away from her fixed stare into the gently fading sky to look at Jak..he was looking rite back at her..studying her..she smiled softly and said "yeah..but this is jsut so beautiful..no matter how many times i see it..i never get tired of it.." she slowly mumbled "never"

I know." said Jak though a bite of his sundae. "Its never the same. Even though its the same sun, and the same lake, its never the same." He laughed. "I wonder why?" he asked with a mile wide smile. He always smiled, sure he had reasons to frown, but that just wasnt his style.

"heyyy jak! i just got a cool idea..when where done with our sundaes do ya wana go swimming in teh lake??" tasha was always coming up with new ways to entertain the two of them..with a huge grin on her face she began to eat her ice cream quickly.

"Eh? Tasha!! Slow down!! Youll choke yourself!!" yelped Jak, as he watch Tasha eat the sundae. Jak, unfortunately, was always making sure Tasha didnt go and do something stupid It was kinda like his job. "Swimming would be great, but the water will be freezing."

"oh c'mon jak wheres you sense of adventure..and fun?? i mean the waters just so tempting.." a slight smile graces her face as she dipped her toes into the chilly water below.

Jak blinked. "Adventure? I dont call throwing yourself into the arms death by catching a cold an "adventure". The only sense I need is common, common sense." Jak shook his head. "You, my friend, are just effing crazy. And if you so choose to commit suicide by doing so, then so be it."

"oh jak..you ruin all my fun.." tasha put her head down *suddenly she wipped it back up..can we race? over at hammer park??" tasha's mind was always searching for new ways to have fun.. the only problem with that is that her idea of fun is different than most people her age. "oh jak..what do you want to do?"

"Taaaaasha, racing isnt fun anymore thats stuff for little kids." said Jak as he leaned back on to the wooden boards of the dock. There he was again, acting like a lazy bum. It wasnt his fault he was best friend with a hyperactive freak. "Were older we should be watching the sun set, or trying to count the stars or something like that."

"but jak.." tasha sighed and looked up into the now dark blue sky.."i dont want to grow up yet..i mean we are still kids..why dont we just take advantage of that?" and besides.."you know that that all will get boring after ahwile"

Jak reached up and grabbed the offending muscle between two fingers. "Keep that thing in your mouth." He said, and then added in the sternest voice he could manage, "Where it belongs." He pinched Tashas tongue before he allowed it to return to its owners mouth.

"OUCH!! c'mon Jak that hurt!" she gae jak te cutest puppy do look she could manage and asked " can we please go running? can we play a game? please?"

Jak sighed. Girls = terrible. "Tasha, its girls like you that make me wonder why Im not gay. And for the last time, no, I will NOT go running with you, its far too troublesome." and that was that in Jak mind.

"aw jak..your no fun anymore..you used to do all this with me!!" tasha felt that she needed to calm down for the night now "and anyways jak..its not like your dating me and i mean im not even like most girls..they dont liek to run and all that they liek to..to..to go be gurls..and if you think that then maybe you shud be gay" she gave him an angry look the looked away back across the lake..then she looked back at him and smiled that goofy smile at him..the one shes known for that just makes you heart hit the floor

Jak muttered a "whatever" under his breath. "Fine, fine. Lets go running." He said. He regretted, of course he did. He always regretted going along with Tasha. In his heart, he knew, shed be the death of him.

But despite that, the run wasnt all that bad.
