2 sticks butter
4 T. cocoa
1 c. water
Bring to boil and pour over the following dry ingredients.

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 teas. baking soda
1/2 teas. salt
Mix with mixer.

Add:
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 teas. vanilla
2 beaten eggs
Bake in greased and floured jelly roll pan at 350° for 20 minutes.

Frosting

Bring to boil;

1 stick butter
4 T. cocoa
6 T. buttermilk

Add:
1 lb. powdered suger (3 & 2/3 scant cups)
1 teas. vanilla

Mix with mixer. Pour over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven
