1 pkg chocolate fudge cake mix
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
1 can cherry pie filling
1 c sugar
1/3 c milk
1/3 c butter
1 c semisweet chocolate chips

In large bowl combine the cake mix, eggs and extract. Add pie filling and mix well. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1" baking pan. bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 22 minutes or until the cake tests done.

During the last few minutes of baking time, combine sugar, milk and butter. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted. Pour over warm cake and spread evenly. Cool completely before cutting. Store leftovers under refrigeration.
