1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
4 eggs 
Add while beating:
2 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla 

Beat until smooth. Pour about 2/3 of batter into a 13x9 inch cake pan which has been greased and floured. 

Mix together:

½ c. sugar
1 tsp cinnamon 

Sprinkle ½ of sugar and cinnamon mixture on batter in pan. Spread 1 can of cherry pie filling {or any fruit pie filling} on the batter. Drizzle the rest of batter over fruit filling, then sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes, or until done.
