| Banana Split Cake 2 c graham cracker crumbs 1 stick margarine, melted 4 tbsp sugar 2 pkg {8 oz) cream cheese 1 box sifted powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla 4 or 5 ripe bananas, sliced 1 lrg can pineapple, drained 1 lrg carton Cool Whip topping 1 c pecans, finely chopped 1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained and cut in half Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted margarine and sugar in mixing bowl; spread in 13x9x2 inch pan, pressing slightly up the sides of dish. Chill 45 minutes. Combine softened cream cheese and the powdered sugar, adding vanilla with mixture and mix until smooth. Spread over the crust. Arrange the sliced bananas over the cream cheese mixture; spoon the drained pineapple over the bananas. Spread the Cool Whip over the top. Sprinkle with the chopped nuts and cherries. Chill for 2 � 3 hours before serving. |
