The dress I am wearing is the traditional "Trail of Tears" clothing of the Cherokee women.  My dress was made with ALOT of help from two wonderful friends, Possom and Jan.  I made the sash,applique and my shawl..

The Cherokee have seven clans.   I come from the "Wild Potato clan". Each clan has its own color and my clan's color is green.

I had this portrait made for my grandchildren so that when they look at it they will remember that not only are their ancestors Hawaiian and Haole but Native American as well. I also made a page on my website entitled "Native American Page" which tells how I discovered my Native American roots.
