Review: Taken from BruceBase: ONE show, with THE BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN BAND the sole act on the bill. As is the case for the group's entire 12-show, September 1971 "house band" residency at this club, the band performed a lengthy but informal show that usually started at 9PM and finished at 1AM. These shows consisted of numerous 40-minute sets with rest breaks in between sets. The core band lineup for all 12 shows was Springsteen, Van Zandt, Tallent, Sancious and Lopez. Additional musicians and singers (from Springsteen's "Big Band" experiments of Mar - Aug 1971) were brought in during some of the 12 shows to supplement the core BSB band during certain sets during the evening.

The tracks below are from a circulating "compilation" soundboard tape from this September Student Prince residency. This is the core BSB with Southside Johnny a guest on harmonica on a couple of tracks. The first 5 tracks are sequential and probably derive from an early set during the evening. "When You Dance" is the final performance of the evening. Note: this 6-song tape could be from any one of the 12 Student Prince shows during September.
