Here is what I can tell you...
My grandmother purchased it from a friend in the early 1960's. She had it until her death in 1984 which is when I got it. My grandmother said that it was all hand carved.
In 1991 I had it refinished and was offered $10,000 for it by the gentleman that was doing the refinishing. So, I am inclined to think that is worth something. As you can see, I chose to keep it.
The set includes a Buffet, Hutch, table and 6 chairs. All are in excellent condition.
I know nothing of the era that it came from and I think the wood is oak, but I am not sure about that. I am open to any information and will entertain offers.
Due to financial reasons I am forced to consider selling, but only for reasonable price and to someone who will love it as much as I have. :)
