Home School
My Statement and Some Reasons
From my own studies of God's Word as is written in the Christian Bible and as my love for history was reawakened with my search for biblical comparisons in secular writings, there emerged, not only a desire, but also a great need to homeschool my youngest child. I wanted him to have the opportunity to know God and to love Him as I do. To learn without the added peer pressure and the ridicule associated with smart-alec remarks and put-downs. As a Christian, in good conscience, I could not let him stumble around in the lost confusion of humanism and be ridiculed by those who cunningly lead others into the false religion of evolutionism.
We need to reevaluate the school system when non-Christian teachers enforce their beliefs through ridicule in an effort to sway those students who take a stand against evolution and uphold their faith in God and creation. We need to educate our children in the way of the Lord. But we also need to give them tangible evidence to reinforce that knowledge and give them a position of authority. An authority that will give them the power of speech to get a message across to those who try to put stumbling blocks in their paths.
As Christians it is our responsibility to educate our children in the Word of our Lord. I strongly believe that God gives that responsibility to the parents, not to a system run by the government and taught by people who are a part of or partial to the idealism of special interest groups.
When the curriculum of the public school introduces topics that are against the teaching of God; then we have only one recourse. That is to teach our children ourselves.
I wanted my son to receive individualized instruction tailored to fit in with his own personality, his lifetime goals, and his immediate interests all of which, with a little encouragement, could develop into meaningful employment.
