- Yours truly

The wild rugged Muskwa Ranges of the Rocky Mountains to the southwest and the over-powering dominant Stone Range to the northeast command your attention while you relax at 115 Creek campground. Situated at Km 640 between Stone Mountain and Muncho Lake Parks, this campsite allows you to view the slopes that tower above the landscape.

Through binoculars search the ledges of these spectacular mountains for the many Stone Sheep that inhabit the area. Pinpoint patches of white and hold your glasses steady. The white is the rump patch - a striking feature of the sheep that enables you to identify them from great distances. The surrounding forest is also home to many birds and mammals. So keep those telescopic lenses close by.

Whet your adventurous appetite at this cozy little campsite located near the junction of 115 Creek and MacDonald River. Explore the banks of both tributaries especially the braided river channel of MacDonald River. Try having a fun-filled day of fishing and cast your line for arctic grayling or dolly varden.

From May to October, 115 is the best spot along the entire Alaska Highway to observe the antics of the Canadian beaver. Saunter over to investigate their dam and peer down into crystal clear water of their pond. Nature's builders delight everyone. You will be amazed at the flurry of activity as they repair and add on to their lodge.

After a long journey on the Alaska Highway pull into 115 Creek and share in some holiday camaraderie with other visitors. With the basics provided, this small site offers a day or overnight break from behind the wheel. Relax. Sit back. Enjoy some of that laid-back passage of time and watch the evening shadows creep up the mountains at the horizon.
