After my connection cleaned up, I was persuaded to help Luk camp a NM, Mysticmaker Profblix in the Labyrinth of Onzozo, got the claim after 20 mins but no drop.

I read a interesting post on KI, gave a guide on how to solo a BCNM... well I thaught what the hell, may as well try it... heres the result lol.

What is it with my luck and airships? seems everytime I need to go somwhere, the ship is taking off or just left. I didn't have much time to play again today, so I figured i'd just finish up

TheChasing Dreams quest. A horribly long one that I couldn't even get half way through tonight, it's damn easy but all the traveling takes forever, included aeras are, Rabao, Norg, SSG, Korroloka Tunnel, Bastok, Selbina, Valkurm and Tavnazia >.> I just hope the reward is worth it.

DRG/MNK/WHM/BRD/SAM/PLD
PLD and WHM were in a static as were SAM and BRD. all Japanese but didn't have any problems.

We headed up to Mount Zhayolm where I knew EXP was good at 67, but as we got up there i saw the Magmatic Eruca were all Very Tough to me, and i thaught "Oh great"

To my surprise though the Eruca's went down very fast and the EXP was awesome, was Light skillchaining with the MNK for usually over 1k damage at a time, too bad we didnt have a BLM for the bursts.

After just under 3 hours I gathered up just over 20k EXP and dinged DRG68 ^^ ... now i'm gimp again /sigh time to go level WAR.

Just before our PT finished I noticed the Mamool-Ja Savages were attacking Al-Zhabi again and at LV.5 so I decided to head back through the runic portal and lend a hand, guess Al-Zhabi was packed though because I kept getting kiecked out lol.

After I came back from cleaning my /not so new/ car and making some lunch, I decided what the hell, 2 levels, maybe the Deltas read different to me now... but nope, they were still tough. Made a shout out on RKZ and Zeplin and Enina responded ^^ As Zep pulled down the first Delta Sahagin we got aggro from a Shore one aswell that followed the Delta down, but we managed to take em down and got the test drop on the first kill ^^ Maat here I come~

Iv'e also updated the site design a little, new animated buttons and deviders ^^ anyways i'm gonna log onto ff now and try to get a buffer for Dynamis-San d'Oria tomorrow.

K, I admit it, after my update last night I did log back onto FF to finish up that quest, got it done with a reward of 3k and a Venrir ring which sells for around 150-200k on AH.

When I was finishing up, Luk was asking me about the BCNM20 to get some mannequin hands, everyone wants one now I have one lol, but seeings as I offered to help him getting them like 4 months ago I thaught i'd get it done.

Setup was: Myself DRG, Aikan DRG, Lukahn WHM and I offered to do another run with Silverdragon (WHM) 'cuz he was broke lol. First run wen't well with Aik's orb, but Luk died, 2nd with Sil's wen't horribly and we got owned, 3rd with my orb was the best I think, good easy win, no deaths, and the 4th was close but we won with no deaths.

Total of 3 pairs of Mannequins hands which ima put in my Bazaar for 600k i think, just sorry Sil's was the only round we lost on, sorry bud.
I recorded the first 2 rounds on Fraps and will upload a movie of them soon.

On another note, today is the 17th which gives us a 5 day countdown untill the apparant release of Chocobo raising, the 22nd has been the only official date releaced by SE, however that was at the begining of this month, with the release of the "A note on chocobo racing" message some ppl are thinking SE have no real plan to release the event on the 22nd, it's already been put back a month, I wouldn't put it past them to delay it right at the last moment again.

I have also been accepted into the Dynamis LS Pathos (WOOT!) first Dynamis will be this Satturday in Sandy, I'll of course be recording it on Fraps. ^^

As you may have seen in the BC movie, I de-leveled to 67... asfter sil raised me I was 1 tnl, no big deal, decided to head out to aht urhgan and solo a colibri or two... thats

when the pain started... fished up the Gugru Orobon on the silver sea, took it down to 50% HP keeping myself alive with HB3 ... but it's Siasmic tail took me down... got a RB3 in Whitegate and was 300 tnl.

Still no big deal, went out to solo .... and got pwnd by a Colibri... really don't know what happened ... lost concentration and Cerulean didn't HB3 in time... now 2k tnl after a RB1, kept soloing with ease... took on a Fomer Bard as i have done many time before .... and got pwnd.

They seem to have a new ability -.- used somthing called Foxdie or somthing which hit me for 500. well after that i got a bit pissed and logged. When i came back I made a pt and managed to get my exp back with a 3k buffer for Dynamis tonight... was a really bad party though...

On the plus side I goy myself a Chocobo Egg lol, think it's fairly useless untill the event starts so lets hope it DOES start in 3 days! SE!

Long update today, from the begining, I never made it to Dynamis-San d'Oria last night, my internet provider needs a swift kick, my connection just wouldn't allow me

A post on Playinline has stated that chocobo raising /will/ be available in 2 days /joy ^^ Interesting thing about it though, you, yes you downloaded several 3D models of the new Chocobos in the past version update, the only problem is you cant access them... ... ... I can /grin.

I still don't know the particulars, but from what I can tell you start with a Egg, these eggs can be bought from the Mithra girl in RuLude Gardens or obtained from certain BCNM's, i'm not sure what ones

You will trade you egg to a stable hand in your home nation, and they will look after it untill it hatches into a Chick...

Then treating it like a plant, visiting it everyday and feeding it, it will grow into a young chocobo...

And then into a Adult, rideable choco.

Please note that these are just examples of what can be expected of Choco raiseing, the images are real, taken from .DAT files downloaded in the previous version update and accessed through Atlantaviewer. There are more modles I found including green, red and purple chocos, various different sizes and other aspects, however there is no way to know if these will be used, the files may be over-writen in tomorrows update with newer versions.

Haha, after a few (read: many) attempts I finally managed to do something on here.Although i'm in Dubai for a month with no FFXI, so regular (if any) updates

Those beastmen must have known what was going on XD as soon as the update finished and everyone went off to get their chocobo eggs, they launched a full attack on Al Zhabi

4 Attacks in a Row, Mamool Ja Savages, then the Undead Swarm, Mamool Ja Savages again, and finally the Troll Mercenaries >.> ppl kept pouring into Al Zhabi though and we were able to shoo them away, as well as just under 4K exp, I got several skill ups too so it was worth it ^^

My previous update on Choco raising was fairly accurate, there is more detailed info on FFXI Home (Link above) I still have no idea what the time frame on each choco model is, but the entire length is 1 month Real time, thats from egg to fully trained rideable chocobo.

A lot of ppl have been speculating on how long it takes for a egg to hatch, I've heard a few hours, a day, a few days, a week, it could be anything really, just have to stick by your egg and see how it goes ^^

The options on taking care of a choco are limited as a egg... all you can really do is "Look at it" XD however when you do, it moves slightly, and the Handeler says "The chick inside the egg seems to want out..." i'll be checking on it everyday and will update when it hatches ^^

Don't wory though, I havn't forgot about Maat XD, I got a quick pt invite from RKZ leader Jprimal, was a short pt but the exp was good, got around 10k in just under a hour, im now 1/3 of the way to 69.

I logged onto FF early today, had nothing to do untill my driving lesson so I thaught I would try and get a little EXP. I never thaught I would get so much so fast @.@

It was my first party in Caedavre Mire, the setup: DRG/MNK/MNK/WHM/BRD/PLD because of 2 Monks, we were getting a lot of Light Skillchains which helped a lot, we fought Heraldic Imps, Juans and the Flys there (Forgot the name XD) No chain and no band, even after sacntion wore it was 200 odd exp a kill, with all 3, chain 5 was over 500 exp, we got over 21,000 in 2 hours and I dinged DRG69 =D

Level up!

I guess theres no more putting it off, technicly I'm ready to fight Maat *Shudders* I'm still unsure if I should wait till lv 70, most ppl I know have fought him at 69, I think when I seek a party later today I will solo some Colibri and re-cap my Polearm skill, my evaision is high too, was capped at 68, and i'll get some parrying skill-ups too before I try. Also gonna need a new lance... some sleeping potions ... opo-opo necklace ... and a lot of Hi-potions... =/

Aslo FYI, I have taken down the screenshots section, it was eating up a little too much bandwith for my liking, I will upload all my old screenshots to a external site simmilar to the movies section so you can view them all soon.

I Beat Maat =D, DRG69, 7 min clear time, 6 min preperation, 1 min fight XD was over quick, he has a lot less DEF than I thaught lol didn't even have to, or didn't get the chance to WS him. Don't wanna spoil it too much lol so i'll leave it at that, i'll make and upload the movie ASAP but I want some /emotes from several ppl to add to it first.

My Chocobo egg hatched yesterday ^^ When the chick hatched the stable guy told me it was a boy, you then get to name it, first and second names, from a list of lots of 1 to 9 letter words. There were so many of them though I didn't go through

Them all, I choose "Neo" and "Fox" so my new chocobo is called "Neofox" =P

It's a boy!

There are a few new options to take care of your chocobo now as a chick. Directly you can spend time with it to grow affection and take it for a short walk to grow stamina. All of the chocobos status are "Pour" atm. I took it on a couple of short walks, and on the second, got a CS in where another guy was walking his choco. The cs said "Neofox and Blood become friends" lol not sure what its all about yet tho.

After the walks my chocos health went down quite a bit, so I decided to call it a day and put "Rest" for 1 day on the care shedule.

After taking care of my Chocobo, I wen't back to Al Zhabi and put my flag up. The AC was in the Hands of the Mamool Ja Savages when I logged, but somone managed to steal it back ^^ I made my own party, DRG/WHM/BLM/COR/PLD/MNK and headed out to Caedaver Mire again. We camped near the Staging point and pulled up the same mobs as before. I was the lowest in the pt this time so I was getting less EXP than before, but it still came quick and I hit DRG70 =D

Now that i'm 70 I have a few new things on my To-do list. Need to Kill Ose for my Assault Jerkin, Hakutaku for mt Optical hat, I already managed to get a Eye cluster to spawn it so just need the ppl now. And I also wan't to set up ZM4 and get to 8 asap so I can start applying to HNM's ^^

My Maat RAW movie is now up in the Movies section too, this is the same as the previous movie, but Uncut, it's for everyone out there who wants to see the full deal, how to prepare when you enter .ect

Iv'e been doin' some Aht Urhgan missions today, I think for the most part, up untill 15 they are all just cut scenes, therefor soloable. There have been some very interesting things in the CS's but you know how I feel about spoilers so I won't say too

much about them. Through the missions though I visited the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins for the first time, even if you are not up on the missions you should check it out, it's a very cool place.

I'm not sure what they have planned over there... but somthing seems to be going on, I have yet to see the Emperess' face and am convinced she is a Lamia or somthing XD all I know is I'm getting screwed over again, by the damn people who sent me to those ruins and by Naja Salaheem. After I risked my life in that place my payment was 225 Imperial Gold Peises, Of course Naja came up with several violations of the Wildcats code and I would have to pay for my imputence, funny how my fine came to exactly 225 Imperial Gold Peises.

You may have also noticed that I have changed the site design again, this way it's a little more "Edit-friendly" I have been to a couple of Bloger sites and atempted to re-create somthing on them, but neither were upto the standard I feel I can reach with the freedom here at Geocities. So for now I'm staying put, if the site does grow larger than I expected, I will upgrade to a Pro package.

As I wen't to check on my chocobo today, he was fast asleep, awwww, the handler told me not to disturb him so i figured better no do any direct care today. Next on the shedule is to take a walk in town ^^

Chocobo status report: Day 6

I'm now upto Mission 12 in the Aht Urhgan story-line. Apearantly there not all CS's though, I need to kill Amonetats in Bhafalu Thickets for some Jody's Acid. They con Decent Challange to me at 70, be I didn't get far in Soloing one, super jumped and ran for my life lol.

It's been a hardcore leveling time for me this summer, getting to 60 to 70 over the break is prity damn good I think. So now that i'm soon going back to college I'll be cutting down on FFXI a little, gonna put off the high level activitys mostly for now, and work on my to-do list. First thing will be to get Warrior to 37 followed by Red Mage.

I'm still unsure if I will bother to level Thief and Samurai for Dragoon, I have only ever had 1 instant where I didn't get a party for not having THF sub, but we will see how it goes. PM 2-5 is being set up by Zeplin in RKZ next sunday so I hope to get that done, and Dynamis-Windurst is being set up by Pathos on Satturday, will be frapping them both ^^

It was a slow day for partys today, I was seeking all day on and off, everytime I did a /sea all, there was a lack in healers. I got bored after a while and went to check on Neofox, there was no change from yesterday, still asleep, it was then somone on the

Trail & Error

LS said they dinged Rank 4. I thaught what the hell and picked up mission 6-1 from the gate guard. I went to KI to read up on it and the recomended level was 60, I did another /sea all... still no whms or rdms seeking so I decided to try and set it up.

After shouting in Al Zhabi with no joy, I warped to try in Jeuno. I got a 69 Beastmaster from a LS and he brought along another BST and a WHM, I managed to rally a WHM and a DRK on my end.
We headed out to Altepa to fight the NM's, they were 2 Manticore type mobs, Eastern and Western Sphinx, The plan was simple and worked, the Beastmasters take on the Western Sphinx and Myself and the Dark Knight take on the Eastern Sphinx.

The DRK took some damage, but when it's attention was on me, it missed mostly (Did I mention I <3 SH lol) Ours went down first with ease and we finished off the Western one which the Beastmasters had taken down to about 50% HP. We collected our key items, headed back to Bastok and compleeted Mission 6-1 ^^

After it was done, one of the Beastmasters, Rhukha, asked if I was going to set up 6-2. I thaught I may aswell lol, after he checked it out he was confident we could duo it. The fight was 2 NM's in Ifrit's Couldren, A Lizard and a Bomb. The fight was cake, he charmed a Bat, I sneaked him, he poped the NM's, Bomb aggroed to sight, Lizzy did nothing cuz of sneak, when his bat was almost dead I attacked with no weapon, having Cerulean take the hate when the bat died, as he had a wasp attack i had Cerulean disengage, and it was over lol neither of us got hit. I don't know what the Lizzy was for but the Bomb drops the Key item needed so we didn't bother with it. I headed back to Bastok and dinged Rank 7 ^^

Back in Bastok, the clock had clicked on choco raising so I went to check on Neofox again... It's all Trail and error with this sofar... & I have learned the Care Shedule is not as flexable as hoped.... I had Neofox take a walk for 2 days and listen to music for 1, the problem with that is after the click, you chocobo will sleep to heal it's fatiuge gained in the events and should it be asleep... you can't feed or take direct care of it.

After 3 days with no direct care or feeding, Neofox's affection to me had gone down, he can now only "Stand to be around me" whereas before it was "Seems to like your company" He had also goten sick from not eating... it cost me 42k to get the medicine to heal him. I gave him the wildgrass, a ball of herb paste and a clump of Gysahl Greens and I spent tiime with him.

For anyone doing chocobo raising, all I can suggest is the "Basic care" is the most important thing on the shedule... Using it will allow u to take direct care, only do other events once every so often for 1 day. Having it take walks everyday will greatly riase it stats and the handeler will keep it alive... but its affection to you will hit rock bottom which will obviously affect your ability to ride it in the future.
