The recent tragedy in the offices of BUSINESS RECORDER is a manifestation of the increase in the inhuman way in which certain elements are moving around in this country. These elements who obviously have the backing of the enemies of this nation, the enemies of Islam, and the enemies of humanity get sadistic pleasure out of destroying human lives, property, and peace of mind. The police are either ineffectual, politicized, or so scared that they cannot be depended upon in times of emergency. Moreover when mob hysteria rules supreme, then the victims should only seek guidance from Almighty Allah.

As a concerned citizen, I would like to sincerely appeal to FPCCI, the various Chambers, SITE Association of Industry, CKIA, and other Associations to release advertisements to BUSINESS RECORDER so that in this trying time, this journal can get all possible cooperation and solace. Large corporations should also take part in this campaign. BR has been in the vanguard, staunchly promoting the philosophy of the business community, constantly projecting the activities of trade and industry, and loyally highlighting the viewpoint of chambers and associations.

At the same time, a percentage of this "support" should be transferred to a Fund for those BR personnel who lost their vehicles, etc during this catastrophe. I am sanguine President Dittu of FPCCI will give the clarion call and take the lead. Zuberi Sahib and the three valiant sons are saluted for their determination inspite of this ordeal.
