SHELL Pioneers a Youth Encouragement Program

SHELL is not just a multi-national company in Pakistan filling our vehicles with gasoline and in the process reaping billions thanx to the Oil Companies Advisory Committee members who meet every fortnight to channelize the price of petrol up, up, and up. It is a global conglomerate that is an excellent corporate citizen. SHELL has invested formidable amounts to influence favorable betterment for the world’s denizens. SHELL has pioneered a fabulous program appropriately titled LIVEWIRE that encourages and cultivates youth entrepreneurship. In Pakistan, this project has a local nomenclature, TAMEER, but the flavor and inspiration is definitely universal. TAMEER was launched at a glittering ceremony in January 2003 after about a year spent on preparing and laying the foundation. Two years later, it is an epitome of success as a focal point for development of the spirit of entrepreneurship in this country.
