As I woke up one morning on October 05, 2003 I remembered that there was an entrance in the Old Pantlin Hotel that lead to the Civil Defense Center in the Gypsum Mines.
During a major crisis the US Marshal Service would take control of the entrance to control admittance of the "list of local government officals-employees & select citizens" who would staff the Civil Defense Center.
I believe "during a crisis" my Grandpa was one of the GRMI police officers responsible to helping notify & escort local goverment officals-employees & select citizens to the secure entrance.
While the cold war is over my memory has been affected by the "illegal medical prodedure" that was preformed on me at the VAMC Portland ORegon Spring 1989 for "reasons of national security." The "cold war civil defense center", the DOJ & Keebler "TEEN TITANS DC comic" TERROR OF TRIGON, having been trained as USMC Scout Sniper 82-86, traveling past the Tonopah Test Range "Stealth Aircraft Program" Spring 1988, "George Stapleton" former US Army 3rd Bn 7th SFG stationed in Panama 85 -86 LYING by telling people that he & I were going in & out of Central South America in Spring 1988 - Fall 1988" are all factors in the "illegal medical procedure" that was preformed on me at the VAMC Portland OR in Spring 1989 for "a matter of national secuirty." I am still uncertain never fully understanding the reasons "why."
I did remember this one key memory the "cold war civil defense center", is part of the local area I live in & part of the history of the Cold War.
Though the Civil Defense Center was built years ago, the site was converted into the USDCO Underground Secure Data Center Operations.
The USDCO is a vital site-location in the Information War(s) Similar to a brain & memory in the US infrastructure.
