The Story of Nur Mut

How it all began:

In the very beginning there were 5 friends who knew each other
from the KJG Bilfingen (Catholic Youth Organization).
One day there was the idea to set up a band.

Dixi was playing guitar for years and he even had written a couple of songs
already.
Together with Domi, who was singing, some of the best Nur Mut-Songs
were about to be created.

Gagge always hit the piano keys well and therefore it was no question that
he got himself a keyboard.

Joe thought 6 strings are too many, so he got rather comfortable learning
the bass guitar.

Which left for Radi only the drum kit, that he finally (to the despise of his
neighbors) bought.

From now on the battle cry was: "Practice, practice - and practice again..."

One thing always had priority. The whole thing was meant to be fun and creative!

Songs got written, some hits got covered and rehearsels got held in Radi's basement regularly (until the neighbors said: Stop! This is too much!)

Some of our own songs unfortunately didn't survive nature's selection
(as Darwin would say)
One example is a song called "Sand Castle" from the early years that never
got to "see" the big world outside the rehearsal room.

And another "victim" was a song named "Nur Du Allein (Emanzensau)"
(Transl.: "You alone (Women's Libber pig)").

Because of the neighbor/noise situation a new practicing location was
sought and found.

It was the beginning of the era of the "Hut" of the KJG Remchingen which
Nur Mut was allowed to use courtesy of the KJG and parish Remchingen.
