Desert Storm Nur Mut spoken It was on the 15th of January 1991 when George Bush sent thousands of U.S.-Soldiers to Cuweit for fighting back the Iraque army and free the occupied land. It was the beginning of the "Mother of all Battles" as Saddam Hussein used to call this war. There were bombs over Bagdad - SKUD-Rockets rushing to Jerusalem, PATRIOT-Missiles Rising up the sky to destroy them. The desert was dry, hot and without any mercy. I saw dead soldiers, killed by friendly fire - thousands of people starving in this senseless War. Oil-covered birds were lying on the Gulf-Beach. Burning oil surces were filling the air With black clouds and there seemed to be no ending to that - Desert Storm. WAR - I can't believe it's true WAR - No chance to hide away from you WAR - The U.S. came in the morning dew WAR - No game with toys like children used to do WAR - Alone in foreign land WAR - Laying on burning sand WAR - So many young man die WAR - Oh, God - I don't know why You will see God in the nearer days You can't live your life without a trace You will see God in the nearer days There's no place to run Nowhere you can hide No escape from the Desert Storm WAR - We get the news on our TV WAR - But is it true, we hear and see? WAR - Just simply war between you and me WAR - Why can't we let it be? You will see God in the nearer days You can't live your life without a trace You will see God in the nearer days There's no place to run Nowhere you can hide No escape from the Desert Storm Text: Dixi/Thomas Music: Nur Mut |
